I know some people view the orc caves as a training area and stuff, but pkers go there just the same looking for adepts to kill for 15k drops and such.  So I thought that this boss i thought of would be really cool.

Orc Lord
hp- Spider King like
special- cannot be hit by magical attacks or weapons.  Could be taken off, just so there is a boss that is invuenerable to masses of rangers..i was thinking this to be a more fighter, thief, pally oriented boss.

drop-  Gauntlets of Power or Orc Skin Gloves-
Armor base: 10 or 8, Can be worn by: clerics, druids, fighters, mages, paladins, rangers, thieves, Description: These gloves were obtained by killing the lord of the orcs.  They feel extremely rough and rugged, blessing the wearer with strength., Level needed to equip it: 27, Strength modifier: 1, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0.

These would be my preferance to Spider gauntlets sometimes, not everyone would want them, but they'd be nice to have available and stuff.

I think maybe i should have put this in game development, but i was suggesting adding it....i think ill copy this to there..

I love the idea Gaddy however just one thing wouldn't an item dropped by an orc offer a strength modifier rather than dex?

I'd say the gloves offer +1 str and -2 wis as orcs are strong and unwise

First of all, I'm just wondering why you thought you needed to post this in two separate areas of the forums.

And secondly, I agree with Jimmy.. orcs aren't known for dex. His idea stays more with the basic statistics of the orc race.

Although I don't support a boss for this area I do show interest for the stats you displayed.  I'd say to reduce it to -1 wisdom though.

-2 wisdom is just fine is this incredibly high acc will be given.

heh guys, my fault..i did /library spider gauntlets and pasted it adjusting stuff cause i didnt know what to put..but ofcourse, these were suppose to modify str and not dex...my fault completely.

I agree with stotic, minus 2 wis might be a lot to pay considering it is modifying str instead of dex, and most everyone likes dex better for most crits...the 10 armor instead of 6 was suppose to make up for the not getting dex but str instead..and because orcs would make better armor id think, but -1 wis..dont really care..a lot of my crits are mage bait anyway haha.

An Orc that cant be hurt by Magic? Yet people posting about the item it drops to lose wisdom.

Maybe better as +2 str, -1 dex, -1 wis. Or even +3str, -1 dex, -2 wis. Since it also has 8-10 armor.

The idea I like about this is that there could be more drops/bosses/areas. However, all this will come in time I guess.

I kind of think you missed the idea...the item is suppose to be an opposite choice for SGs, if it took off dex, no one would want it...i mean..maybe with +3 str...but that is too much..there'd be too many 1 clicks from thieves and others then.  I mean dex loss is just kind of annoying on any item and adding 3 str to make up for it would give way too much power to some attacks if someone managed a good click with lower dex....i mean..people would just make up for the dex loss with aoh or something if they were rich, and then it'd be adding 3 strength losing no dex.  I think adding 1 strength losing no dex would be better, and people could use aoh to have a little better dex to add to it.

O and the not being able to be hurt with enchanted bow was just intended to make people use other crits to kill it..i figured that might make some larger clans less likely to hit it and give it more of a chance to be skipped allowing some newer players to get the kill and not have to buy the drop.

I don't quite understand that part, surely this would attract even more pkers to the area?

Only at boss spawn time for the first couple of weeks most likely, but what i mean is that since people already go there to pk quite a bit, why not add a boss that might eventually just be left alone from people not really wanting the drop too much, since most people like SGs and view them as godly or something, since the boss might be left alone, newer players would stand a chance of killing it....it'd be a little while before it was just forgoten about, but it could still be nice to add.
