Title: Blessing Your Blade Post by Tienno on 06/20/03 at 17:02:15 Ok that sounded quite grand....... but alas alll i mean is that when you get to say level 30 and your beast thats taken an agonisingly long time to level up, maybe, just maybe there could be a way of renaming your Blade. Par exemple...... 'Tienno is ............. in one hand he carries 'Loriel' and is in a healthy condition.' This would replace '...in one hand he carries a Halberd' another possibility could be '.....in one hand he carries a halberd with a description reading 'Loriel' Just another idea T xxxxx |

If people using inappropriate names is a problem however, just make it so that when you 'submit' your idea for a name change, it goes on the site. Then when a staff member goes to the site, they enter in their name + password next to it, and the weapon is renamed. That would stop people from using rude names. |

Would also discuise what weapon they were carrying and make it more interesting, gives pride over what people have worked for........ i always love a bit of pride over whats taken me ages to complete. Personally I feel some sort of system that acknowledges the rank of arch is necessary whether it be custom naming of weapons I'm unsure of. Some say that it would interfere with new weapons coming into the game, but yes It can be monitored tightly to prevent that, |

Title: Re: Blessing Your Blade Post by Tienno on 06/23/03 at 10:30:20 its a special title but it doesnt give you much in terms of speciality, i mean (and im probably making a mess of making my point here but ah well!) you can go up against a level 29 character or even a level 27 character and be annhiliated, surely this isnt quite right. I do like the idea of extra bonuses for experience. Maybe a change of tact on my behalf would be to suggest an extra 5% chance of hitting or extra 5% damage for 300 mil exp and so on up, ill leave the details to the mathmaticians and those who balance the game but i agree that this would probably be a better idea and promote levelling even after level 30. You could in fact call it life after 30 (hides) knock the idea around see what you think. xxxxx |

Title: Re: Blessing Your Blade Post by DrAgIn on 06/24/03 at 20:59:53 well getting back to the topic at hand, when you name your weapon(if we get to) i dont know, but each time i have tried this has worked, you try it, that way we can name weapons... unequip your weapon and hold the pointer over it. it tells you the name of the weapon if it is in your inventory, and/or even if you go to 'other equipment' in character options, you can hold the pointer over the armor/weapon and it tells you. that way you can have the weapon and still know what it really is ;) |
