Ok, I may be right out of the loop with this post, as I'm uber physically and mentally tired, sick, and drugged up to my eyeballs and at work, but wouldn't giving half elves one singular more point on their dex, make them more useful without imbalancing them?

Why would a human.. (19 dex max) and an elf... (19 dex max) have 20 dex when interbred?

you have no idea about the modify button either.

but just one thing elfs don't exist so they can't breed.

it's a game and i do think deval's idea would be a good one :D

Things have to be logically correct. A mix of two different races can't generate a super race! Let's mix an elephant with a human being and he starts flying!

I have agreed with most of your ideas, because they were good ones, but even though they need something, adding things that have nothing to do with the situation isn't correct.
It has been discussed before (with other stats), and I still do not agree.

lets say for example a human has a strong right foot and therefore has 19 dex

A half-elf has a strong left foot and therefore has 19 dex

combining them will make them have a strong right foot and a strong left foot and they'll have 20 dex

p.s. just took the foot-thingy as an example

I sure hope your talking about a human Male, and a Female elephant here....because well....I don't think a male elephant would fit exactly..er...well, Lets say it like this, It would have to be a really really blown out, and or loopy woman to be able to handle "Relations" with an elephant.... :o :o :o

Elves have always been known for having superior dexterity to humans, I don't understand why full blown elves have the same dex as humans, it's a joke. IMO Elves should have 21 dex, and halflings 20, but that would throw the game into a lurch. Looks like I'm not the one who needs to do the thinking, Norinth.

All that needs be done, is take the useless point off intelligence and move it to dex, and possibly reduce const by one.
