I thought I'd post this and see what everyone thought about it. Ever have someone memo spam you? Or get a bunch of really stupid and pointless memos? Well I was thinking maybe this would be a good thing to do. You know how you have to pay to mail something? Why should messages on NM be free? The poor delivery dude has to make a living too! Anyways, why not charge 100-200gp or something like that to memo someone..sorta like a stamp..This would deter people from memo spamming and I believe make things a bit more realistic.

I dont know about 100-200 but i think it might be a good idea to charge a little. Maybe like 50 or something

it's a good idea but what if i want to send a clan memo? would i ahve to pay 200 gold for each member? or just pay it once?

Like when you send mass mail. You get a reduction, so say.. 10gold per person.. Or less.

I don't see the point in it, if I was spamming someone (I don't though ;p) I'd happily pay 200 gold a memo.. its not exactly that much.

The price was just a suggestion..that would be up to staff ..or whatever this board agrees on I guess. (If staff like it that is) I really think this would be a nice addition to the game though. And the clan memo discount sounds good too.

LMAO..Horror man if someone would pay that much to memo scroll me and get banned I'd find it severly amusing and funny..rather then getting annoyed ;)

Ok, if you scroll someone with memos, you get banned. Making it cost 200 gold wouldn't help.. if people were pissed off enough, or stupid enough, to scroll you then there probably going to be willing to pay.

I don't see how this is that useful, all it does is make people pay a small amount to send a memo.. not very useful is it?

As I said before, it adds more realism to the game, and it will reduce spamming. Not many people are going to want to waste gold just to scroll someone. And if newbs want to memo someone they can go kill a rat or something..it makes a memo more signifigant then I believe. I mean really..did you ever get a stupid memo from like a lvl 3 saying if you pk me one more time i'm going to pk you with my lvl 50!!! or something like that..at least then if a newb wants to send u that idiocy they had to work for it..

I don't see any need for this idea. I memo friends just for the heck of it sometimes. I'm not about to pay $$ to memo a friend of mine.. and if it were clan members I were to memo.. that's even more ridiculous.
