(idea from a diff game i have played)

What if theres an option or something that you can click on or off if you want to see "bad words" if its on there ya go, if its off it would just blur the words out...

Example
fu** = *&#^
a@@= (##

or whatever...just puts weird nuts in the way..

I suggested a filter before and it was turned down. However, an option to turn it off would be cool. So the people who don't like to see cussing can turn it off and the people who do cuss, well, poo on them.

Swearing should only be aloud in extreme cases, like when you get pissed off for what ever reason or you lose something, like the other day I had to say ****, OR if your really excited you should be aloud to say "****in' Eh!"

Cussing shouldn't be allowed, but overlooked in certain situations. Like you kill the lag monster with 20 hp left and run back to Boar's Tusk. I think that would be reason enough to be able to say "**** YEAH!!!" and not get banned. But either way, cussing just shouldn't be allowed in the game.

What would stop you from just screaming "f***in' yeah" at your computer screen? This game was made 'for all ages' therefor bad language is a big no-no period. Who could guarantee that some 10 year old kid wouldn't turn swearing on, just to learn a few things to impress his buddies with?

Just learn to scream f**k in rl and type fudge ingame instead... after a little practice it's quite easy....lol

There can't be exceptions for the rules because something that may cause a level 20 fighter whos just learning the map to curse like getting to blackthorn, wouldn't be a biggy in other peoples eyes. Therefor staff don't have time to go through and check if you did just get your first ever crit to blackthorn or just get back to the boars tusk after killing the lag monster. And if we don't check each one, people will just swear and make up a reason for it.

There is no swearing-cursing anywhere and if you chose to do so with select people (pages-friend-party-clan whatever) bare in mind that if one of them complains, you can still be banned.

It's just not worth it...

Swearing is a choice... You can swear and get banned. It's a risk. Nobody told you to swear. You gotta be responsible for what you do, after all, this game is for all and if you break the rules, you will be banned.

Yep, agreed. You should be mature enough not to curse. If you do.. and you get caught or someone narks.. then you've got to face the consequences. I suggest, you just not curse if your not wanting to get in trouble. If you do feel the need to curse.. replace the words.. with "fudge, crap" etc.

Just think of it as if your at school or with some elderly people, it shouldn't be that hard to stop your from swearing, and instead of crap you can say poo cuz it sounds funnier and theres a lot more of replacement words for current swears.

Yeah, there are tons of replacement words. As for you saying imagine like you're at school... HA, I have one potty mouth at school. I usually know how to control my choice of words though.

That still wouldn't work. I curse around the teachers. They do nothing about it.. not like they're going to send me to the office or anything because of it.. cause' I'm a good student. :)

I'm talking about small/big towns and cities, there schools and teachers and other crap like that differ, some would care and others wouldn't....but how do these people make you do it? Most of the times I swore in school is because alot of people for some ****ed up reason like hearing me say lewd things and curses, I go along with it most of the time, or atleast I did back then

Lets not forget it isnt just cussing that is bad...the doragatory comments and such can be pretty annoying...saying things about stuff without cussing doesnt always make it ok.

To me, cussing is pure...I mean, It's people who make a big deal out of it. Those who do are usually very prudish, or snobbish at that. I can understand profuse cussing being bad, I mean F this, F that...But just casual cussing, I do, and will continue to say it, I just don't get cought.

I don't like the idea. In Well of Soul's, they have that filter, and I couldn't turn it off for the longest time, so when my friends were talking it was "I Hate this #*#@*$ Skin". I just think that it shouldn't be a big deal, I mean honestly, how many people on nightmist has never heard these words? If your that sheltered, kill yourself now and save yourself a lifetime of torment.

As far as cussing someone out excessivly, this could be considered another Violation all together, just like if I keep bugging you in game, telling you Im going to Kill you IRL, and stuff...its harassment.

Actually, I think you could be allowed to curse.. as long as it's not anything offending. I hate this stupid "game for all ages" crap. Certain age groups should'nt be playing to begin with... because of them coming across someone cursing or someone being vulgar/obscene.
