Title: Tributes to the Blood God Post by Blinky on 04/23/03 at 11:08:58 This is a way to help control the population of lvl 30's/gold in the game. I think an area should be developed(id love to do it if this idea is considered) where sacrifices can be made. Heres how i see it, you go through the designed area, journey though a vast wasteland to an old abandoned temple where sacrifices were once made upon an alter. Once through the area, and a player makes it to the alter, he may sacrifice(delete) a lvl 30 character, donate a certain amount of gold, and in return for his sacrifice the Blood God may give somethin in return. This would be like a boss drop with a low drop rate, but your not killing anything. Youre risking losing a lvl 30 crit and gold(id say 1mil) for an extrodinary item, then again you may not get nuts... EDIT: The monk at the altar MUST say "Youre spleen will be a tribute to our blood God." in loving memory of my devally woos |

Title: Re: Tributes to the Blood God Post by wonderful_nightmare on 04/23/03 at 12:46:12 hmm i didn't think it was a good idea (sounds stupid to me cuz you could sell that lvl 30 maybe for more then a mil and then buy a good item yourself or use the lvl 30 to kill the boss) but that edit made me dislike it even more. |

Title: Re: Tributes to the Blood God Post by Norinth on 04/23/03 at 15:13:20 I gotta agree with him. Who would waste a level 30 and a mill gold like that? Level 30's don't fall from trees! Nor does a mill gold. It would be a useless area. |

Title: Re: Tributes to the Blood God Post by Stotic on 04/23/03 at 19:13:10 I don't think you could just wind up level 30's like cattle here and force them to go through something that risks that much. |

Title: Re: Tributes to the Blood God Post by Selene on 04/23/03 at 21:26:57 I agree with Stotic.. and also Jurian. You could get more out of selling the crit or trading. Rather sell or keep the crit than risk going and not getting anything from the drop when it took ages to get to Arch. |

Title: Re: Tributes to the Blood God Post by The man on 04/23/03 at 22:15:06 But, wouldn't it be worth it if you had a chance to get a Amulet of Mountain Ogre Strenth, that gave you +5 strength?.... |

Title: Re: Tributes to the Blood God Post by King o Sausage on 04/23/03 at 22:17:33 Depends on the probability of you actually getting that Amulet.... |

Title: Re: Tributes to the Blood God Post by Blinky on 04/23/03 at 22:32:39 there are an abundance of lvl 30s...this is merely a way to control the population of nightmist....you arent forced to try and get the item, but those who have a spare lvl 30 or 6, and enough gold to buy their own city, why not take the risk for something so great? Like i said, the award would have to be extremely worth while, but it cannot be a 100% sure thing, everyone would sacrifice a lvl 30 and soe gold to get an item if they knew they would get it. I know I would be willing to take that chance if theres a hope i could get soemthing that would enhance my stats in some way... |

Title: Re: Tributes to the Blood God Post by Stotic on 04/23/03 at 23:05:05 I can see it now. Someone's account is "hacked" and they use all of that person's lvl 30's to try and get the ammy. /yawn |

Title: Re: Tributes to the Blood God Post by wonderful_nightmare on 04/24/03 at 08:55:13 look the only way this might work (it's till a bad idea) in my opinion is that you have a 100% garantee you get the item you want. like /offer wonderful_nightmare/blade of time. then i offer wonderful_nightmare with 1 mil on him and i get a bot. it would also be nice if the crit that was "offered" was just resetted to lvl 1 so you don't lose the name and keep the stats you had on the crit :D |
