Title: Customizable accessories Post by newb on 04/01/03 at 21:09:36 Just for looks, say you could pay staff 100k to create a bracelet, ring or necklace/ammy for you with an acceptable name. You then give them the description you want for the item. This would add something more exciting to the game than wedding rings or RoW's. |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by Momba on 04/02/03 at 14:06:29 I really think the idea of adding something personal to the game is great. I'm just not feeling this. Lets say I decided to make a custom bracelet for each crit in my account with it's own personal discription.I would have added(at last count) 22 totally useless items to the game. If only half of the players did this we'd be at something like 6,000 new items in the game. The only way I could possible go for this idea is if say you did buy it and put it on. Once the item is removed it is deleted from the game. If we didn`t do this can you even begin to imagine how many new items would be in the game say in the next 2 years.... |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by Aidon on 04/02/03 at 20:24:13 One big reason this would not work is that each item made needs to be coded and can only be brought into the game by JLH or Pandi. With as busy as they are, I would find it quite unfair that they have to spend their online time making items for people. And also as Momba said, there would be an over-accumulation of items, leaving nothing for staffs to make and put into game such as in areas, etc. |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by newb on 04/02/03 at 21:56:53 With the hefty price of 100k, do you really think people would be making these left and right? Also, when name changes couldn't be done through the site, JLH and Pan had to do them. I don't think it was THAT much trouble. |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by Aidon on 04/02/03 at 22:02:45 I can remember that also, I remmeber many many many peeved ppl not being able to get ahold of them, lol |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by Matt on 04/02/03 at 23:50:21 100k is not really a hefty price. There is too much gold in the game currently anyway. Maybe JLH could code in a smithy that can 'make'/'craft' your item. Buy it, say the name you want and he makes it.. (Name should be approved first, maybe a filter on what names can be made would work.) |

I think there would be ALOT more item creation requests in comparison to what there was for name changes foolio. |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by Despair on 04/03/03 at 07:13:05 If any inappropriate named items are made then staff should be told and the item deleted (a lot of gold wasted) and possible further punishment oh and I think that 100k isnt enough I think it should be more like 500-1 million -Jimmy |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by newb on 04/03/03 at 07:55:11 Now that I think about it, you are right Jimmy. 500k'ish would be better than 100k for the price. |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by Despair on 04/03/03 at 09:09:50 and I dont think that the items should be completely customizable as this would just confuse people as to what items people are using . . . Perhaps being able to personalise items like in D2 eg: Swift's Amulet of Hermes just another thought -Jimmy |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by Silverwizard on 04/04/03 at 02:09:15 Why not make the ability to change an item's name I have seen this done without problems and if there are any the above suggestions would work. Now people running around with halberds could be running around with OUCHMASTERs lol ;D |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by Defiant on 04/04/03 at 07:34:53 but the problem is, someone could call a Halberd a Soul Blade or something of such and say its new and sell it for like loads. |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by Despair on 04/04/03 at 17:23:20 If you give people the opportunity to totally rename their items it will be unfair to the people who have worked their asses of for rare items in the game already I do like the idea of being able to customise items some what but people should be able know that a hally is just a hally and not by pic alone! |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by yoyoyo on 04/07/03 at 04:25:30 one problem with the customizable items, as always someone would ruin it by tryin to make an ammy with a base armor of like 5 mill |

Title: Re: Customizable accessories Post by yoyoyo on 04/07/03 at 04:26:16 but a way to fix this is by makin it so that the better the item is the more you have to pay |
