You are taking time to load your backgrounds, the enemy chasing you has theirs turned off. While you thought you were loading your desert background, suddenly you see Boar's Tusk background loaded. It didn't take too long to load, you can live with the lag. But since your opponent has his backgrounds turned off, it would feel a lot more like you died with the lag. |

So making entire backgrounds for different areas would be very time consuming and hard. If we found a few artists that were good then this may be a good idea. But until then I doubt it will happen. |
