not sure about the levels preceeding 30 but at lvl 30 my halfling got 19.

At level 30 a good halfling ranger with 18 constitution should have about 274-275 with average being around 272-272ish.

So aim for about 275+ at level 30 and you should be quite all right.

Oh and by the way, 280 is very nice for a level 30 halfling, max atm is 286 if I am not mistaken.

286 is not the max for a level 30 halfling, it's just the highest anyone has gotten so far. Right now I got a halfling thief level 29 with 272, so basically if all i get is the minimum roll at level 30, i'll still tie that, and with a good roll, i could get it's hp to over 290, unlikely, yes, but possible, absolutely.

As far as decent halfling hp for a level 30 ranger, they are right, mid 270's is good. I have one with 278, one with 282.

How it seems to me right now, rangers get decent HP with 18 con, get pretty bad hp with 17 con and get almost the same hp as 18 con with 19 con. Sure if you're luck you will get like 290 with 19 con. But con is random I guess, maybe just a little too random if you ask me.

I have one human ranger at lv 20, that's gaining 8.5/lv (19 con) which will put me in mid 270s if it continues like that.
The other one, lv 25 currently (19 con) is gaining 8.95 hp/lv which should put him at 285+ if it continues like that.
I'm kinda hoping the first one picks up on hp.

I do have two others at lv 28 and 18 con, at 254 and 255 hp, which with little luck could become 280 at lv 30.

I own wraith with 19 con he has 295, I have another who will get 279+ at level 30, so con doesn't make a HUGE difference with rangers, and Kazul, thats what I meant lol.
