miss miss miss miss..
Yup
Im fed up of missing
I took a 24 dex pally (lvl19) a 16 dex orc fighter (l19 too) and a 18 dex druid (l20) and did 10 attacks with each. Druid has gaeas and morph, pally had prayer on

Fighter - 8 hits
Druid - 7 hits
Pally - 3 hits

Now why oh why does my pally MISS so much... ok the druid is higher lvl and had hit improvers on... but a 16 dex fighter vs a 24 dex pally??? surely the pally should hit far more often than that???

Oh and this isnt a one off either, it happens all the time. Tried with rightous fury too... 3-4 hits out of ten every time

can someone plz explain why pallys are so bad?

oh well.. at least that pally is due 348mp at arch (if i ever get there).

is the pally useing Spider Staff? that might be it since pallys seem to miss alot more when useing staffs (they hit more with blade of honor or pike or justice etc though)

is it Halfling ? (should hit all the time then) if not your pally is just on a missing streak it will get better as he levels though

I have to agree with Alicia, My pally has a natural dex of 20, and when he has holy speed ( I think that makes 26 dex ), using a rose blade, he still misses ALOT.

end of the day . . . Pallies do miss a lot even with spells . . . but when it comes to dueling pallies are a formidable opponent

was training in zeum 2nd floor yesterday until a pk gang attacked me and killed my thief, i logged all but my zerker and cleric and killed them, but that cost me all my mana crystals. I then logged my other crits at the seasonal painting (coz id used all my mana) but kept my pally and tried piking MAS's

then i died

3 full rounds and not one hit !!!!!!!

I use Holy Speed, and whilst it does help somewhat, the character still misses ridiculously alot, too much, for what should be a somewhat impressive dexterity.

Yay for sausage :D

Pallies, great for one on one duels... Well alright for one on one duels, but with the amount they miss its hardly worth the effort to drag one around with you, its just simpler to level a cleric to do a better job all around...

The cleric even hits more! Well mine does :P and my pally has better dex..

I agree 100% with you there Deval and even with 29 or 30 or whatver dex with spells an equipment . . it doesnt seem to make a lot of difference

my pally has just got to lvl21 now (gave up attacking went back to aiding aetthol/MaS/bats) and still misses... holyspeed is l25 and sgs 27 so thats no help to me

BTW to all those who paged me about hit and running in zeum.... at least i dont share with someone and use their crits as bait for my own thieves

And? How is being good at dueling going to help you against monsters? Believe it or not, there are some people in the game that don't level up a class just because it's good at dueling/pking.

I just bought Irratoinal hes 21 dex hes arch halfling pally got sg's on em with holy speed hes got 28 dex he hits all the time for me..he misses every now and then.. i think its just the lvl and so on and so forth  :-/

I never said they missed against monsters anymore than they do against other players . . . I just pointed out that pallies are good duelers . . . Pallies are multifunctional they have a fairly decent attack as well as being able to heal themselves and undead monsters . . .

Maybe their not the strongest at killing monsters but they do have their uses . . . ie I always take my pally to undead bosses (SK and DG) . . .

Pallies aren't the easiest class to train either but in my opinion their a nice all round class and at level 30 well worth the effort

Paladins do indeed miss a lot, even with Divine Prayer (mine is not at a high enough level to use Holy Speed yet), although they seem to do better with certain weapons, especially the Katana and Justice Blade.

In duels, Paladins come top!  Even though they miss a lot, I successfully took on an Expert Berserker in the arenas and won, although it was mainly thanks to Aid and Divine Prayer that kept me alive.

pallys do miss really much but if u use spells like divine prayer or holy speed they dont... that much   :P ( obviously lol)
