Then, I would say that hp rolls are most important, because you can have 18con halfling pally ending up with hp as good as 19con human pally. And seeing how they both will pretty much get same mana too, even if halfling has 18wis, and considering low effect of +1 str on humans, I'd have to say that halflings could turn out to be better paladins due to general +2 dex. But, if your human pally is 5 stat perfect, with ~300 hp, then it might have some advantage. |

To me they are the best race in a way, b/c their stats are so balanced, and that's what I like.. I mean, if you had a perfect human or near perfect human, you could choose any class you like, so that's why I like them.. But that's only me. |

Train him awhile (not to long :P), get a feel for pallys, save up and buy or roll a nice stated crit to make a new pally. Just a though. Edit: "For a first crit, they're not that bad." |

Halflings: -1 str (makes no diff in damage) +2 dext (makes huge difference). The 19 wisdom makes up for it slightly, but its still not any better than a 4 stat halfling. Not to mention the bonus ac you get. Raphie, that crit is awesome, level it to lvl 30 and you'll have a pretty nice cleric. Power to ya buddy. It's also a PALADIN, not a cleric. It's not 'awesome' but it also ins't crap. |

I did play a Paladin a lot...my favourite Paladin Carnage; 18 x 21 17 18 16 273 hp ;D (with 17 con that is VERY good) and he had about 318 MP The amount of offers i had on that by Eternyte ::) Bought it back eventually though.. Either way back to the point. Bean; as Meph said stop looking for a chance to flame someone. Eiements; trying to be nice here, but maybe you can't use Paladins? Meph; :D Raphie or w/e; In my opinion you should drop the whole 'Human' Thing. Try get a Good Halfling; preferablly 18 cons, because i don't think the 17 will get you lucky like Carnage had; but maybe i am wrong? Humans technically aren't good Paladins; you need the dexterity. Carnage was barely hittable as was my other paladin...who had 18 x 21 18 18 19. (same hp btw). Had 29 dex with Holy Speed i THINK. And i barely missed/got hit. If you roll a good halfling, good, level it, you will have a lot of power 1 v 1 with that character... Lowest stats you should really go in a halfling: 18 x 21 17 18 15+ Lowest you should go..If you want to PM me over the forums and ask me anything else about Paladins id be happy to help. Admittidly im not god of paladins, but i think i know my fair share about them. |

(i think). or maby i just like him :P and i got 4 archmages 2 archzerkers 1 archranger and 1 archfighter in 1-1 duel at level 26 so maby they are same...or better |

And im allso looking for a halfing level 26(27 maby..) to see witch race is better. if anyone has one we can try work it out but it will be character fight (same items on both) just to see...im curious. |

Post by Terrier on 01/23/04 at 12:38:34 ok terrier vs dragonheart same items same level 1 vs 1 no healing terrier won with 89 hp left 1 vs 1 with healing dragonheart won with a good round he was out of mana i had 14 mana left (2 more heals)i died before i used it...you do the judge ;D after me they are both balanced..but humans are better in most of things. |
