OK i'm gonna roll a pally but i wanna know what each stat does for them

str- dmage on weapon
intell-???
dex- ure hits
con -ure life
wis- ure mana and spell resistance
char-???

plz help ty

str- weapon damage
int- spell damage(only used for mage/druid i belive)
dex- how often you hit/miss  and how often you dodge/get hit
con- starting hp/ hp gain pr lvl (and i belive also helps thieves with covert/noticing someone in covert)
wis- starting mana/mana gain and damage spell resistance.
char- hp gain from a heal and helps with hypnotise/(resisntance to?)

Intelligence also help spells to not fizzle.  The lower the intell, the higher the chance of the spell fizzling out.

oops missed one.

still only for mages/druids.....doent affect pally/cleric spells.

It does at a low level, were healing is the best exp (level 1-10) better to have it higher ;)

Strength - How hard you Hit
Intelligence - Only used for Mages.
Dexterity - Hit/Miss Chance.
Constitution - Life and Using Stamina in Covert(Not too sure)
Wisdom - Mana and Druid/Mage Spell damage (I checked with JLH)
Charisma - Helps to Hypnotise and Be hypnotised, Changes Heal Slightly, but nothing big.

Wisdom is mage spell damage? I thought that was int.. unless you mean they both effect spell damage?

Apparently say if you have 20 int and someone has 21 int, and someone has 20 wis and 21 wis, The person with the 21 stats will do two more damage due to them being 1 higher. Something like that anyway.

Wisdom supposedly does affect beam, but I believe it is only about half a point of damage per wisdom and one point per intelligence, intelligence is mostly only for a mages fizzling.

So it goes:

Strength: Damage with a weapon, has a slight effect on damage, you want it decent, 18-19.

Intelligence: Mages are the only classes that need it, so unless you  want high stats in useless areas, don’t worry about it.

Dexterity: Chance for hitting also raises your chances for dodging, very important stat.

Constitution: Also a very important stat, improve you starting hp as well as hp gained per level.

Wisdom: Important for paladins and all spell casting class, improves your starting magic points as well as magic points gained per level. Also is the stat that determines how much you resist a mages spell and how much damage they can do to you.

Charisma: Used for your resisting of hypnotism.

This is really strange... I thought charisma had nothing to do with heal at all, I guess it probably should have a small effect.

I've heard many things on these,

Int - I've heard that is for all healers/spellcasters
dex - I've heard that this makes mages 'miss', I ask how, people say fizzle
con - Bleh, I didn't think it was THAT important when I started, Imagine my disgust when I figured out that a lvl twenty-three fighter with 12 cons SUCKED!

Wiz - I don't think its important for non-spellcasters, but apparently has more magic resistance, which wasn't so important before druid became (in my opinion) too powerful.

Char - This is confusing,  Once i've heard that it is how much you can heal for, then I hear its how much you hit your higherst, then I hear its for mages blast.  Then I look at the help file and it says it makes you buy items cheaper.  I'm confused.

Intel is only used for Mages , Mages and Only Mages.

What I'm trying to say is Mages are the only class to use Intel.

this is the most confusing one....ive heard so much about what this one can do. affects amount YOU get healed for, poison chance on flaming arrows, ability to cast/resist hypnotise. never seen anyone getting anything any cheaper for having high char though.

i 4get which stats are used for thieves covert and steal chances...but thats mostly determined by level.

also, you missed strength, but that one is pretty much self explanitory...physical damage....thats it.

Charisma also determines what you heal for . . .  high charisma on you determines what you heal monsters for/get healed for  and high charisma on others determines what others heal you for

Just thought I would share that someone said that Pandilex said that Intelligence is how much exp you get each level. Ok, first of all that makes no sense whatsoever. And second of all well it just doesn't make any sense.

with holy speed its your wis/3 (Rounded down) is what gets put  on to your dex. 8)
