Hmm, well pacifists sounds neat, I bet you took a while to come up with the name, but I think, maybe a more suitable name for these would be monks.

Monks do pretty much all of the things that pacifists will do, and their cloth protects them, so unevil things cannot hurt them.

Monks are trained in hand-to-hand combat, and are very proficient fighters. In my opinion this means that they wouldn't fit the pacifist description at all.

In all the books/movies/games I have seen monks are actually pretty peaceful, though they do have to be trained to defend themselves I guess........... Maybe priest?

You obviously haven't read/played much. In every game/book (with Monks in) they've ALL been ass kicking fighters that own everything, and there definately not what I would call peaceful. Rich is right, the name Pacifist is fine, and as it fits them it should stay.

I agree, Monk isn't very fitting at all...Ever play Might and Magic 7 I believe, they have a Monk class, it can heal but it can also do some nasty hand-to-hand damage, and in order to go up in lvls you have to go through this hard area with stupid skeleton things and gogs, ok I think I lost myself there, basically Monk is not fitting for the class.

They got monks in EQ too... specialists with hand to hand items.

So basically karate masters taken to the next level

Pacifists = nothing close to any type of monk

i dont play, i dont like nightmist, but as a roleplay, Pacifist is fine, and yes, monks use their hands and feet in combat, and on FO, monks will use gloves to enhance skills
