Surely drinking from a fountain would also get rid of thirst? Or am I living in a different world :P

Yes, you are. Your in the real world, the fountains in a fantasy world ;)

I know what it does. But it makes no sense, saying you drink yet don't get rid of thirst. Possibly change the message?

maybe something like "the fountain refreshes you" "or you are refreshed" just.
