Title: portals (again) Post by Epic on 08/19/03 at 05:58:02 Well if noone walks around its their own d**n fault i say, it was nice not having to run around long distances while it was all laggy(that is if there was the ammount of people there is now that produces the lag..or what have you)but anyhow it would be nice to port around when its all laggy and like i said its their own fault if they dont discover things. I dno doesnt really matter to me, would be a nice addition tho. PS, whyd you lock the last topic? |

Title: Re: portals (again) Post by Oracle on 08/22/03 at 18:28:14 Nice maybe but defeating the objectives of the game. From a roleplaying point of view, in the times when this game is set, whats the chance they have the technology to make portals when they havent even got gunpowder? And yes staff have to be discluded from the roleplay aspects because we NEED these kind of things to be able to help the players in need. |

Title: Re: portals (again) Post by Mephistroth on 08/22/03 at 18:32:50 Wtf? What does making a portal have to do with technology? It's to do with magic and stuff, not machines. |

Title: Re: portals (again) Post by AlecxZeck-P1C on 08/22/03 at 18:40:52 I think it'd be a good idea to bring them back. Regardless of having a portal in your clan house, you'd still have to walk to the Clan House to use the portal. It's not as if there's a warp-portal back to the Clan House, or to different Areas. This would make a easy one-way trip to a certain town that is far away. Maybe make it so only Magic-Users summon the portal, and the RP balance wouldn't be messed up, considering that the Rune's that commence the portal can hold that energy. Figured I'd toss this in to help the people who actually want it. |

Why do staff keep giving those arguments, we have elevators, so stop saying that this game is supposed to be played century's ago. Its a fantasy world everything goes. Even Pandi keeps saying that we cant have a metro cuz they didnt had it back then (not saying i like the Metro idea). |

Title: Re: portals (again) Post by Oracle on 08/23/03 at 14:56:54 Whats the point of correcting my spelling lol? A lot of people will have realised that I’m not great with it but you could tell what I meant. Portals have been suggested many-a-time and have always been turned down, I gave the reason I believe and I believe that the game is on the whole set back in those days of old but it's something not always followed up fully. JLH has said no to this several times, it's not going to happen and I've tried to justify why. |
