The trading area is full of over priced stuff. I'd like to think that players simply didn`t know/remember the price of the item before they tried to sell it. In hope of trying to stop players from putting items up at ridiculous price I'll offer a lil help.
The following link was made by Jes a.k.a. Samus and has all armor and weapons for each class with prices and where to buy them. Some of the newer items in the game are not listed, but I`m sure she is hard at work updating the site as we speak ;)

This site is useful in more ways then just armor and weapons. Take a look. Learn a lil something about the game and be sure to memo her with thanks for her hard work in making the site. Sites like this make it easier for n00bs like me:)

hmm maybe jlh should make a maximum price things can eb sold for. like 110% of the original price in the shops (i sometimes buy something for a little more then i pay in shops cuz it saves me a trip to the shop :D)

I believe the lists cover all the stores and weapons that can be bought there (cuz I ain't paying 2k for a rubber knife....lol)

Selling overpriced items has a use, ie when your training party is in Sarka and you need 50k for a museum key + mana, then you realise all your gold is on crits in NM, you can flog a pot for 50k on the site, then log in the crit with money and buy it.

just reading that list, half the weapons could be deleted coz some weapons are so OVERPOWERED for their level and what they are, ie STAFFS

oak staff, damage 4
short sword, damage 1
erm.. why?

1/4staff, damage 8
long sword, damage 5

well in the end swords are way better then staffs so this is maybe just to compensate. and notice alot of classes can use staffs too but some ppl just prefer swords or something :D
