Just curious as to what people have foraged, and if anyone knows what determines your forage rate of sucsess

determined by lvl i think.

anyway what you forage depends on area. you'll only get water in desert and deer meat in the arilin forest so there's only a certain amount of things you can forage. not like you'll forage a cobalt somewhere suddenly.
