Elves stormwrath for more and such, while halflings have a higher dex. It's really a matter of preference. I personally prefer elves for their very sexiness. ^.~ Although the charisma only affect how much it is healed for and a druid's heal basically sux anyway. |

They have much more mana and +2 wiz (perf stat halfling and elf). And why should they get +2 dex if they got armor spells? It's useful, but not as much as wisdom. Elf. Trust me, I got four elven druids. |

You get +1 strength, +1 consitution, -1 wisdom compaired to a perfect stat elf, -2 dex to halflings. My druid is 19 [17] 19 18 19 [8]. It was my second crit of the entire game, so it isn't too bad. I do have a few 19 x 19 19 19 19's, though. *cries because his PC is still broken* But the elves are good as well. -nods- |

Title: Re: Best race for a druid ? Post by Norinth on 05/05/03 at 16:07:52 I think Halfling druids are worse than Human druids. The dex bonus just isn't good enough (for druid). The racial armor bonus... The more wisdom you got, the more effective armor spells get... So basically the armor halflings get isn't important, elves get basically the same bonus armor in spells. Druids need a lot of mana, because they depend a lot on their spells / abilities. Now lets compare Human to Elf. Elf has +2 char, that means he heals more. And he also has +1 wisdom, that means he gets more mana and most of his spells are more effective. +Damage in Forests is great. If you inflict 60 damage it gets boosted by 3 while in a forest. That means, when you fight a Black Bear and inflict 60 damage, you get 150 extra xp per hit. Humans get +1 strenght and +1 constitution. The heal is worse (but it's not a main spell...) and all his spells are worse. But his fighting skills are better. A bit more hp, and a bit more damage. I think the racial bonus for elves increases damage as well, so it's not that important. The hp is quite important, but elves have improved armor spells (not much but a bit) and more mana, and that means they take less damage. Human's racial bonus isn't relevant at the momment. I personally prefer Elves. They are better than the others (my opinion). I took this from Discussion. (Yes I did post this) |

Sure 17 strength is a touch low but hey, you and I both know druids can still whip you with that (/beg Vampyre :'(). The wisdom is higher than a halflings so you are going to get more base armour from spells (ignoring race bonus) and hit for more on offensive spells, plus you get the magic resistance bonus. Of course it’s all down to personal preference again but I would use a gnome druid if the option were available :P. |

Gnome: Higher Dexterity, 5% extra protection from spells, generally gain more hp. I dont think charisma aids druids in any way, excluding hypnotism from rangers. So no great effect. 1 Strength is neither here nor there considering morphs. 1 widom will help for more mana, and magical defense. Since you cant actually create a Gnome Druid it was kinda pointless comparing them. They both have strengths and weaknesses. I think they roughly even each other out, but personally I would prefer a Gnome Druid, but since they cant be made. Who cares? |

Post by Horror on 05/12/03 at 17:55:39 Elves generall get more hp, mine with 17 con has been getting 9 hp on average, sometimes 10 (druid) The extra wisdom helps, as you get slightly more mana and your spells are more effective (based on wis) Personally I think elves would beat gnome.. but yeah, it was kinda pointless in comparing 'em lol |

Gnome mages at level 30 average about 233. Elf mages at level 30 average about 220hp. Both with 18 cons, thats how I concluded that Gnomes gain more hp. Also the 2 Gnome thieves I've owned both had more hp than most halfings, and Dwarves with 18 cons. |

My elves are awesome, but the halflings seem to receive higher hp and the elves are better off with their mp. Honestly there is no difference in their ability really. I haven't attempted a human as of yet but may do that soon. |

My friend has several druids, all Elf, and they will end up getting 15-20 less HP at level 30. As far as Humans go, I don't know. You don't see too many Human Druids going around nowadays. Edit: Doing some math...considering my Halfling gets 9's each level until 30, 9*8=72. 219+72=291. Not bad, eh? |
