Title: half elfs
Post by Raven on 12/15/03 at 10:33:46
is  there much of a point to a half elf?
sure they make ok mages but an elf is better for that even if the half elf has that extra 1 con
do they actually have a class that they do generally better than the other races?

It really depends on your tastes I like them as fighters. and My half elf 5 stat does better than my dwarf 5 stat. so Its really your taste more than anything else

5 stat half elf fighter? That isn't very good at all..
Human: 19 x 19 19 19 x
Half-Elf: 18 x 19 19 19 x

Which is going to be better do you think? Half elves only make decent druids imo

Depends on what your fighting, extra Charisma the h-e have could help against hypno.

Dude My dwarf Is a five a stat So is my half elf. My dwarf is max strength for a a dwarf and the half elf is max strength. both are maxed dex and con and my half elf hits for more and more often you tell me.

And i dont think they make all that great druids at that. So again its more your opion as to what you like them as.

I had a 4 stat  lvl 30 half elf  ranger I beleave it was, 18 20 18 19 19 19 even with 18 dex he did better then my other lvl 30 halfling ranger he was, 18 8 20 18 18 19.

I have now a lvl 13 6 stat half elf and I made it a ranger.

A long with traning my 6 stat ranger.

Another One of these ppl who get a few lucky rounds and therefore try to rewrite the laws the world is based on which, CAN'T be broken. He could hit more often and no doubt in the end probably will, but strength wise No attack is based mainly on strength and if they the same lvl then. the dwargf will hit for more.

But im telling you he doesn´t bone head and i am not rewrighting the rules. Im telling you what i have seen with both crits the Half elf hits for the same amount as the dwarf who has i higher strength and the half elf hits more often. I dont know what rules you are going by since the only ones who know what the true hit ratio for each crit is JLH and Pandilex. The stats give you more of a chance but in no way do they say for sure you will hit more and with more power.

A weapons base damage is just that its the base damage not the max damage. The same applies with the crits thank you very much.

Yes they give you more of a chance which means in the log run overall you should hit harder. If you don't your REALLY REALLY unlucky, as in not being able to roll a 1 stat perfect crit unlucky.

/nod pandilex.....if u tested it in a forest then i think the half-elf will get a 2.5% damage increase due to racial bonus
