A possible thief is every single person in the entire game, and we don't really need more posts saying X,Y, and Z is or probably is a thief.

If you get ripped off, it's your own fault for not sticking to the rules and guidelines. Other people follow these and hence don't NEED your warning.

Be vigilant.

Personally, i think it's good that people are willing to take the time to write a post on the forum, warning other players.
You can say be vigilant all you like. But not everyone will listen.

I'm being perhaps a little too harsh, but most of the posts about thieves generally turn out to be arguments and are totally pointless.

While I agree with Pandilex that most postings about thieves turn into pointless arguments, we as a community should be encouraging this kind of reporting. Let's send a message to potential thieves that they are being watched, not only by the staff but by the NM community. Thefts will continue and thieves will continue to prosper as long as we as a community offer a haven for them.

Pandilex, you have gone to great lengths to make the position of the staff clear and to prevent potential theft. We applaud your efforts. The fact that members of the community are turning out to help improve the NM environment is a clear sign that you have been successful.

this is where i disagree with ya pandi the first time i do be viligant yes but take the thief posts offf forum no.Its good that ppl post on the forum bout ppl being thieves bc it lets the nm community know who is a thief and who not to do trades with.We need the posts of ppl finding thieves on forums.

I totally agree with you Pandi, all of these posts are pointless. You think we can't figure out for ourselves if someone doesn't want to showstats or something. If you don't notice that he changed the name, that's your fault.

I disagree sort of, people should be aware of the techniques in use for theft. However I don't see the need to post names, half the time they will use a randomly made crit so you'll never even know it was someone who has offended before.

Ok for one.... use common sense, people can be angelic and nice one moment but when an idiotic person presents themselves, they become greedy little b**tards. And please dont post about things that your stupidity led to happen.... a post about someone who switched the crits at the last moment, ya sure, we need to know that. But if you were stupid and did'nt follow any rules to trade, then you DESERVE to have your things stolen.
