Pretty obvious that something was up...
This guy Fighterist had been going around, saying he'd roll anything for 5k.. I offered 50k for a 6 stat of any race.. Then i got this page:
Fighterist Pages You from Bank (Arilin): how is 5 stat with int 18
Paged User Fighterist: Onw hat race?
Fighterist Pages You from Bank (Arilin): dwarf

Amusing, a Dwarf with only 18 int..
So, i agreed to pay 50k, but was obviously going to check... Then:

[I was looking around AR for him, and found him]
Bahthius: Oooh :D
Fighterist: cash in advance
Bahthius: I wanna see the crit first, please.
Fighterist: yeah right like m supposed to trust
Bahthius: No, bring the crit here and do /showstats bahthius
Fighterist: 25 now 25 later
Fighterist: hes in nm and not moving
Bahthius: Ok, where in NM?
Chatturgah just logged on.
Fighterist: none of ur business unless i see 25 k
Fighterist: yes or no i have other business
Bahthius: Look, tell me where in NM, let me see he has the stats you say.. And if he does, i'll buy him for 50k..
*Time passes, nothing said by either party*
Fighterist: sorry talk ltr ill memo u gotta go
Fighterist left the game.

So, sound like a completely legit deal to you?
Cus it didn't to me :p

Obviously, I apolagise if this person was completely truth and does have the character he states.. But I doubt it.

Erm, maybe he is a thief, but he could also have meant that charisma wasn't perfect and that it was a 5 stat with 18 int, not 17 charisma lol

Yeah, as Matt said, if he's so deperate for gold, i give it out to new players all the time. It's only gold after all, and this is only a game.

Because he thought Alone might try to rip him off? I don't know, but you can't just jump to conclusions.. he might actually have meant a 5 stat with int, not char.

Didn't know about the stats thing? I know it looks like hes a thief, and I expect he is, but i'm just saying it could just be a big misunderstanding (although thats a slim chance lol)
