Title: Even the "best" complain when killed Post by Nemesis on 11/30/03 at 16:37:15 This is more or less going back to an old chat topic about people giving threats, getting Pk'd, then complaining about it making it seem unfair. And as it seems even those who think they are the best, Deadly Alliance, have this problem. Now ive seen this in the forum, dont know who's comment it is, but it went something like "A person makes up with alts what they lack with skill". This is one of the best qoutes ive seen, and can say alot about this DA member. and this isn't a dig at DA, just the irritating members ;) With any party i lead when training, i carry thieves. Putting simply, im training my lvl 12 druid in the forest, happy as can be, sun shining down and all that malarky, when all of a sudden a big bad party of DA drop by, and start attacking me with their lvl 21 ranger. I quickly click their ranger, n run off back to town with my kill-fee. Now that may seem as me trying to make it seem unfair, when it werent. they attack me, i attack back. BUT, within 10 seconds of entering town, i start getting threats and complaints of the ranger i clicked, saying things like "oh you cant do anything but hit and run" or "thats weak" or whatever else they can think of to make it seem as if i did the bad thing. The game was giving its Pk'ing ability for a reason, and even DA cant take it when they die. I dont want no 'female-dog'ing going on under this thread, i just want to see comments about or from DA explaining why they think they're the best, yet they cant hack it when they get killed themselves, and have to get all their 'bigger' alts to do a job they cant. |

One example is Epic (hope you don't this), who, once i had killed him, just carried on. Didn't hold a grudge, and didn't page me or anything. |

I'm a DA member... err... yea maybe they are guys in muh clan that do that... but i never did it... i dont remember me pk-ing... do who on horny or ducky... and see... just 1 or 2 pks and i dont go pk-ing wittle n00bs... well... Most of DA members are very nice... take Hump or Demonskys for example... i dont hear them 'oh i'll go pk those guys cuz they clicked muh alt' ... well i never heard it... :-/ Well... there are some maniac killers too... (not giving out names;) ) well...DA is not the only clan that doesn that... Look at broken... or TR... even the n00b clans... i cant go south at SGH cuz there's a n00by thief there to pk me lol... Well i think thats why Arenas were build... lol... |

Title: Re: Even the "best" complain when killed Post by Nemesis on 11/30/03 at 17:30:06 as i said in my original post, i aint dissing DA, ive been in the clan before. so Diz didnt read it properly, n thanks to Eternyte for finding or guessing the qoute bout alts and skill....i was just too bone idle to find it myself, heh ;) still though, its always good to accept the fact you just died, but if you start paging and cussing them, it does make you a bit more pathetic than those who do use quantity over quality. And do something about the server! i just logged on Nemesis, but now i cant log on any other crits...says server dont exist, yet im chatting away on my crit. Btw JLH, do you got any pets at home?? if ya do, and its a cat, dont let it rub up the side of the routers..it prolly keeps knockin the cables n making the server play silly buggers |

I don't mind being pked at all, or I attack lots of ppl, and if I die, I die. Just sucks that some people don't understand it's only a game. |

I've heard about this sort of thing approximately 9238582385185 times give or take maybe 5. I've pked before in other games and I know exactly what its like, just translate their whiney pages and threats into compliments about how much you screwed them over then just ignore them. Don't bring it to the forum because there are quite enough posts of this nature already. I'm so glad you managed to kill someone who was attacking you. Yes, well done and congratulations... |
