Ok i decided i would make a beta file of what i'm working on for with the nm helper so ppl could comment on stuff before i finished it so it would be easier for me to modify.

beta and version 1.0 are on.

Otherwise it's very good. (Impressed by the Very fast transfer rate, 25.0Kb - 33.0Kb on Dial-Up.)

Jurian! This is cool! You should put what areas to level up at. You have no idea how many times since I luv my newbs I hear "Drake, where do I go to lvl" and im like uhh I dont know I dont do that class etc etc. Would be a cool addition!  ;D

Library info for Spider Staff:
Base damage: 7, Can be used by: clerics, druids, mages, paladins, rangers


Its not on all the classes that can use it.


Needs added to the weapon info of clerics, druids, paladins

it's in now the file has been updated :D didn't get to that spiderstaff yet :D it's in the enxt update though just havn't uploaded that yet.

Found a mistake..

Paladin's level 29, you forgot to enter they can wear Baron's Bracelet's... :)

I asked Aidon before, and he didn't know of a list, nor was he sure staff would even give one out, if there was such a thing..

jlh said he could get the server to generate a list. and he'll only give stuff like name, base damage/armor and lvl to equip and all

just like /library but then for everything i think. not sure lol :D

Worth using or not, it's still an equippable weapon. I figure if you are going to make a program telling people stuff they can use, why not tell them everything?

I'm not sure if the spell descriptions are actually that useful.. personally, I think it would be better to remove the proper descriptions and just put in what it actually does. Instead of saying 'oh, you can attack things with this btw. just not underground' actually tell them the damage, if its worth buying and what problems there are.

For grasping vines you said 'not worth buy'n! SW is better!' what exactly is SW? As far as I know there is no alternative spell for grasping vines...

I agree, don't put your own opinions in it, or the people who use it will be biased. Make it factual. I've noticed your great hatred for pacifists, but other people don't hate them as much as others. Let them make their own decisions on what items to wear and spells to have.

He wants our opinions, so were giving them. Were not being rude or anything, just suggesting ways in which he can improve it. I don't see how he would have a problem with that.

Don't you think he knows that you ppl don't like the fact that he hates paci's and puts it in his program. He's looking for words he spelled wrong, or stuff he forgot. But nvm, suggest what you like...

SW = stormwrath
How exactly are grasping vines and stormwrath related???
And I actually think grasping vines are worth buying.  It's useful for trapping prey.  :D  I think you probably ment to have that description just on jolt and it somehow ended up on grasping vines...
Maybe you should note that stoneform is better than thornshield since you have the comment for the offensive spell...

Also, under nature's fury you have... "this is a cheaparse (read worse) version of stormwrath" ... this is a bit misleading because they both do about the same amount of damage only NF costs more mp and works underground.

I also agree with what mephistroth said about the descriptions.  The /library ones are often long, vague, and hard the understand.  And, as much as I love the sarcastic comments it would be easier if you just flat out explain what the thing does in plain english.

Despite these little things I think you did a really good job. ^.^ It just needs some tweaking.

(yeah yeah my descriptions are bad too... making them better would involve more time and effort than I have)

the sw part thingy was just a bad copy and past from my site it's been allready fixed in the ebta i think :P

edit: my program even contains spells that aren't in the game yet and yes i'm adding spell cost allread (putting the ebta with it online alter today)

it's not like i do everything in a few secs it takes a while to change everything. you ppl are lucky i ahve a nasty back injury that gives me time to actually make this.

and why are you making such a fuss about it alex? i thought you didn't play?

edit2: thing is i put the descriptions there cuz i don't exactly know what all the spells do. but look at paci's spell i put in there what it does. but atm descriptions aren't my main concern.

they will be in the armor sorted by type later on in the game.

same with the other items mentioned in this thread that i think aren't worth equiping or are not accessible to noobs.

the armor by class part only contains armor i think you should buy or equip. more will be added later

actually i just wanted to fool around a bit with vb and didn't know what to amke so i made this. some ppl actually enjoy spending 30 mins to figure out they missed a . somewhere :D i do enjoy it when i tried alot of things for hours and finally get the program to work. if nobody uses the program i would still be making it.

i made the program into what it is now cuz pp ldid use it.

Well.. if I play or not doesn't really make any difference to new players does it? If they download this then I expect they want a reliable source of information.. which means you need to actually back up your opinions with facts, and, imo, you need to go into greater detail on the spells. shouldn't there be a section about the bonus of each class/race?
like halfing get +7 armor....half-elf get +6 armor ...gnome get 5% bonus on defense against spells (I think)....or druid (was it?) get bonus on damage in forest area....stuff like that.

not that hard...but sometime, you should let the newbs think for themselves.  After they read about what each stat does, they should have a good idea of what they're looking for.

btw...did jurian, I think wis affect how well those enhance spells work (divine prapyer, holy speed, blah blah...)
