Vorth_Grenade pick it up , THEREFORE , Mr. Vorth_Grenade is the proud owner of a NEW Cobalt Staff of the Winds!!!

Item Theft

Less of a problem than character theft, this is still quite a problem. There are many things to note, the most common being listed below:

- The most common way of losing an item is giving it to someone. Never let anyone you don't completely trust see your items, because once you give something to someone it is no longer yours.
- Another way of losing items is during transfers. Never drop items on the floor to transfer them between characters, always use the /give command (/give player item). [By dropping something on the floor, it is fair game and anyone who picks it up is completely entitled to have it.- Not strictly theft, another way of losing items is by dying while carrying them unequipped. Always ensure you never leave towns or other safe places with valuables in your inventory.

Staff will rarely help you to recover items you have lost unless it is the server's fault that made you lose it. Another very common way of getting items stolen from you is via trades, which is discussed below

As Jurian said, thats a completly different situation. He dropped this to show off, Will didnt withdraw 4 mill to show off did he? It was just an accident because of the withdraw all command.

Don't bring this up again, someone pressing the button and dying was going to happen sooner or later, and I considered it to be a fault of game design making it too easy to accidentally lose all your money. As a server side error I took full responsibility. If you contest my decision then fine, but it's not changing. Dropping your weapon is a concious act.

Port has dropped his a few times and the sgh. I was always a fraction of a second away from getting it tho. If he was on the square I would hold macros just waiting for my day.

I always said if I ever did get it I would keep it for 1 week making him do random favors or mini quest.

I was gonna make him run from NM to Sarka for 30 minutes a day..having 1 crit in each pub to verify he was actually running...lol Then at the end of the week return it hoping he had learned a lesson.

Abra dropped his to show a pic...not to brag that he had one nor flash this 10 mil gold item. If it was me I would return it. This shouldn`t come down to staff being involved in any way what so ever. It should be 1 players kindness in showing the new pic and another persons honesty in returning the item...

Some people because of the lack of computer knowledge choose not to open those files. I myself until seeing you post about the gfx folder on another thread had no idea that it contained all the pics that are currently ingame. Since then I have opened it and looked at what is to offer. Unlike You and I Jurian alot of the players ingame are younger. With an average age of 14 or so. And with the exception of a few they don`t know much about the computer except that the little green button when clicked means they can access as much porn as they like.
You got alot to offer behind that arrogent mask you wear. Take some time before you post and know that not everyone has the knowledge, experiance, and age advantage you do.

Dude i care more about ppl and their belongings then you would ever know, but cmon its a game. And this game happens to be my way of acting different then i do irl.

Erm, people aren't as stupid as you think. I know a few young people (under age 13) who know enough about computers to look at the GFX. That doesn't matter anyway, if the instructions are clear enough then they can easily find out the folder.
