Im actually surprised that this hasnt been brought into the forums yet, as it happened yesterday.

Tech has been banned from the game, the damage he caused cleaned up, and the community made just a bit better.

Ive lost track of the theft bans placed, that means there has been Quite a few. When will you people wisen up and realise, You Will Get Caught! When you do, you go bye bye. No second chances, no opportunity to redeem yourself. You make your way as a thief, and the hand of discipline will fall down hard on you.

Theft cases are stressful and time consuming. You waste our time, we get a bit upset. Save yourself and the staff members the hassle and play the game fair for crying out loud.

The moral of the story is!

You steal, You get caught, You can No Longer Play The Game!

I still miss the old Nightmist... where we didn't have to worry about the issue. :-/

The sign was there. Nice job on the clean up Medora. The old NM is almost here. The days when you could make a trade and never get screwed.
Still use staff for all trades. :)

Did he try stealing from someone in a trade with staff there? if not i thaught staff wasn't persueing those cases cause it's the persons stupid fault for not waiting for staff. Or did he do a tevlok job.. share with someone then rob them? if so again i cant see why he'd be banned (no i dont like him nor know him) because it'd be the person who he stole froms fault. Unless he hacked or in some way out've game got the peoples passes then stole the stuff... The he should be banned.

Staff don't have to pursue thefts. But in some cases based on the way the evidence is presented staff do take a little time to investigate. As has been repeated over and over it is always best to have staff there for trades. For whatever reason if a person does get took during a trade without staff they can always email a member of staff. This isn`t to say they will do anything about it at all. But it does give them a reason to watch the person accused a little closer so as to prevent it from happening again.

I was asking so many questions because at one point staff say it's your own fault if you trade without staff and alotta people lost there stuff, but now if staff are going to ban people for it it'd be unfair on those who lost there stuff without a punishment on those who stole it.

Staff wont necassarily interfere with theft cases without someone to over see it, BUT this person openly admitted to me that he commited thefts that I had caught him in, and said there was nothing that could be done because staff wasnt present.

He admitted he commited the thefts. He challenged my authority.

Anything else need be said here?

Firstly Go Medora! Another one bites the dust.

Some people seem to think that if they can get away with stealing with staff not being there it is ok. Theft is ALWAYS illegal and if you take the risk of stealing, staff may decide to act on your case and you get banned forever. Or you may get away with it this time with no staff chasing it up. Every time you try and get away with stealing something you are running the risk and may be traced up. You can't escape the system; it will catch up with you.
