it's still there but in havanor's absence some things have probably fallen out of place. all the writers except mike/poptart still play and are available as far as i know.

While Havanor seems to have vanished, the idea is still good, and if another staffer would like to assume responsibility for running this, they may.
They can also sort out the press house (i came across it at one point while map cleaning and fixed a few errors in it) to change the room names and stuff for whatever people are helping with it.

I don't understand [still] why this wouldn't just be done on the forums - it would be much easier, and would probably get done too...

I believe it is possible to allow average forum accounts read-only access, and the press team would, of course, have write access. But that's just one possibility.

I bring this up mainly because I would probably never pay for a newspaper, and if I had anything good to share, I'd put it on the forum so everyone could read it (as opposed to submitting it to the 'press'), not just a select few.
