Title: I was thinkin (lol yes i can think ;D ) Post by RaveChyld on 08/17/03 at 04:20:04 I was thinkin today about some of the cool things i have seen and done in NM in my time and i got around to thinking about a special even that happend a LOOOONG time ago...does anyone remember when they set the dragon loose bellow arlin?i had been playin for about 2 months when this happend and it is still one of the coolest thing i have done in NM to this day...and a question to staff why hasent that happend again? and a question to the players What happend to the Tooth it dropped?who currently ownes it? |

Staff can't even run a no-teaming mosh anymore when there are 3-4 members of staff stood around enforcing it because there are still people cheating and then when they are removed complain they did nothing wrong and that the member of staff is cheating. Would you want to run a quest when you are just going to make yourself more unpopular by doing so? |

Whether they are MEANT to be, well yes I suppose, we are Meant to be here to help you in any way possible and make the game good for you and logic would tell me that if we could achieve the goals we MEAN to do then you would be MEANT to like us. |

We need a staff member *God help me for saying this* like jurian, someone who cares little about what others think, but still gets the job done well. *In the jurian context of course referring to his 12 alt training group* Staff worry too much about 'popularity' and far to little on what really matters. P.S:None of the above statement was a dig at any of the staff about how they 'arent doing thier jobs'. I know each and every one of you does varying degrees of work. So my above statement has nothing to do with that. |

Anyway, the only 'quest' I remember seeing was when Cyric said that sylvia (boss in scarlet daggers, not sure if thats the right name) had a bracelet of speed hidden somwhere. Me and Gouki spent ages running around there, till I eventually got it ;D Then gouki got pissed and tried to kill me lol |

Krillick was the head of that I believe, don't know what has become of it now. I'd guess they would have the same attitude as staff thought that they just get dissed for it so why is it worth their while doing? I'll try and find out when I see other staff tonight. |

As far as I know, Krillick, Myself, and the rest of the team had designed a quest. JLH had made it clear to Krillick he didn't like the quest team idea. (this is not directly from JLH, so if it isn't true, correct me.) Once we had finished, a few members left. After awhile we all just stopped talking, then one day I asked Krillick about it and that was when I found out he was fired. Ever since then it's just been a forgotten thing on Nightmist. I'd still like to be on it, as it was fun. The diversity in the group was cool, it wasn't just TR like everyone expects. There was DH and TR and I can't remember what Donut was then, but meh. If you get it up and running again, or if another staff would kindly take over where Krillick left off, I'd love to rejoin. |

Unfortuneatly, the idea never became a reality past the making of the office and the stories being submitted. It wasn't just a place to "have thier own room". I believe the reason it never happened was due to Havanor's problems with his computer. |

There was a no teaming mosh not long ago and staffer threatend to get me a perm ban for yelling- "o so 3 tr can sit in a square only hitting me and leaving one another alone and it doesnt matter but i get chewed out for hitting back when someone hits me just because there are other people hitting him?" Which i think is BS and that they were being way overly defensive saying that i called them cheaters and stuff...some staff seem to get rather pissy w/o reason sometimes, i didnt say they were cheating for TR, i was intending to point out which people were doing it, but obviously it is no longer alright to say TR is cheating (by teaming in a no-teams mosh...not in any other way am i talking about this) w/o it being assumed you're saying staff is helping them do it.... A quest would be nice...maybe some new fun items and stuff..and not have them only appear 1 time every...long time..it'd be cool if there were a quest every month or so, and new items each time, cause it is kind of annoying that only a select few have all the shibby stuff that no one else does. |
