Mana for spells is also cheap. 2. Druid - All round great class. Can morph into animals to hit hard and often. Has spell to increase their armor to balistic levels. Has a fairly cheap spell that does about 45 damage. Also has a mana leech wepon, to steal mana from other magical classes. Also heals for half max hp when morph is casted. Can also make themselves invisible, and able to track. 3. Paladin - Has few spells to increase stats, including str and dex. Hits fairly hard and often. Has nice base damage wepons. Also can heal fairly cheaply for 50+. 4. Ranger - Hits very hard, and often. Even more so with spells from that of a cleric. Has an all out stamina usage for massive damage. Also has a tracking ability, and hypnotise to reducde opponents accuracy. 5. Thief - Has the ability to steal large amounts of gold from unsuspecting players. Can covert and be invisible from opponents. Can move whilst covert, although this uses stamina slowly. Has nice base damage wepon, gets max stamina at a lower level. Assasinate is a powerful ability, even more so once again with the help of cleric spells. 6. Berserker - Unable to wear any form of armor. Inflicts very high damage, but unfortunately has a rather high miss rate. They are able to weild high base damage wepon. Very good class when used with a cleric for healing/spells. Otherwise goes through healing potions rapidly. Also has very high hp for the no armor point. 7. Fighter - Has 6 stamina, able to wear the most armor in the game. Can use high base damage wepons. Doesnt hit quite as hard as berserkers, but is much more accurate. Has fair high hp, but not as much as berserkers due to the armor. Also when casted upon with cleric spells, is a formidable opponent. 8. Mage - Deadly to those with low wisdom characters, has a spell Beam, which at a fairly high mana cost inflicts about 50 damage. With the added boss drop spell of 'Aura of Protection' a mage can increase its current armor by *2.5, unfortunately the lower your natural armor, the less effective the spell will be. No mana leech wepon as of yet. Gets stamina slowest of all the classes, however has a spell 'haste' which increases the natural regain of stamina for a short period of time. Has a spell to cross over minor traps, without sustaining damage. Takes a long time to train, with some effort. Needs most mana of all the classes to train and sustain.
9. Pacifist - This class cannot be balanced with that of the other classes, because this is the realms only non-pk class. Great for newb's (newer players) to get to grips with the game. Very low mana cost, and speed of training is second to none. A worthwhile class to begin with and learn how the game works.
Thats just my personal point of view on all the classes. some classes perform better in other environments. Although I shall leave it up to you to dcecide where and what classes benefit where. Just hope you enjoy the game, and try your hand at other classes.
Some people might be better of on other classes too. Although a class suites someone else, it might not have the same appeal to you. So try them all is my only piece of advise. |

Elfs make good clerics. Try and get x x 19 18 20 21. That would be a spiffy cleric. Try to get something close to that.
Wisdom determines your MP. Charisma is how much you heal monsters and how much you get healed for. Dex is how often you hit and get hit by monsters/players. Cons is how much hp you get. (I just stated the relevence to these stats for the cleric class.) |

To help you out a bit...
Different Races have different pros and cons: (numbers in -X- dont matter much)
Dwarf max stats: -21- -18- 18 21 18 17 Gets most hp but does not heal as much as other races.
Elf max stats: -18- -21- 19 18 20 21 Probably the race that heals for the most, not as much hp as human or dwarf.
Halfling max stats: -18- -19- 21 18 18 19 Will be hit less by players and monsters. Does not heal for as much as gnome or elf.
Gnome max stats: -17- -21- 20 18 19 18 Heals for a decent amount but not as much as elf.
Human max stats: -19- -19- 19 19 19 19 (dont know much about human clerics)
Other people may not agree with me, but that is my input on it all. |

Not too bad. Nothing special. But for a first crit, you don't want to spend all day rolling. |

Charisma plays a tiny part in healing for clerics. It is wisdom that affects how much you heal for.
Higher charisma affects your heal by only a few points, and that's when healing yourself. |
