just wondering if anyone else really hates it that ppl can get good stuff on this game withouth really doing anything on the game for it?

i personally think it's really crappy if you have to get your stuff that way. can't you ppl just train and work for your stuff?

i think this is really unfair to the ppl that couldn't/can't afford to pay for stuff on this game with real money.

Oh well, ppl think its odd cuz its just text, but every game u buy in the store is the same, so i dont see that big of a difference.

I don't see a big problem with it.Like Outsider said.You buy games for like a PS2 and other things.Not much of a diff.

People want to have on this game.They will buy stuff to help them have more fun.

the diff is you don't compete with others on your ps2 and if you game online with a game you buy in a store you can't buy strength then it comes down to skill. like quake or unreal or counter-strike. you only get better cuz you train. on nm you can get better by doing nothing :D

You also have a computer which can hold +10 character's most people don't, i do too, but training requires effort, why put effort in to something when you can scrape out a few £'s and buy something with next to no effort. As Al said, what skill? Click. yeah...

Agreed.

Everything that I have/own, I've gotten it myself.. as far as items. Training.. I've had help on (usually because they offered).. but, I did the majority of the work.

I'd never pay [i]real[/r] money for crits, items.. etc for this game or any other RPG. It may be unfair to spend your real money on certain things, but, that'd be similar to buying them with your in game money/gold.. but, you'd be able to buy actual things with it.

The point of the game is to play it and master it, not buy your way through

But hey, whatever rocks your boat..if you enjoy playing the game that way then more power to you.

Yea yea, I know, I'm probably being subjective now.

But look at it this way... if you've got a job, and you get let's say 10$/hour. Work 8 hours a day, that's 80$/day. Work for a week and you've got yourself 800$ and could buy stuff that would take about 2 years of frequently playing to get...

btw 80 x 5 (ia ssume you work 5 day's a week) = 400 :D not 800 :D

Get money from my parents for that, i spend like 50€ on weekends just for beer lol, so whats wrong if i just party a little less.

p.s. And i dont have to train anymore at least not that much so i have free time which i can spend with working, which will eventually pay back.

It was mentioned that in other games that are p2p people still have to play to advance, but that's not completely true either. I know of several people who paid more rl money to get an existing EQ or UO account for example.

I don't consider it "unfair" to buy crits, although I don't think I would spend my rl money on paying for crits other than going p2p. Nobody is stopping you from going to get a job and do the same.

I`m sorry was anyone ever really interested in what you think? The most recent person to sell an account for gold is Gus. He has been playing this game for a long long time. Why shoudn't he get something out of it?

If you hadn`t of started the donating trend this game wouldn't have half the lag, half the jerks and JLH would have a steady monthly income given he would have taken the game to p2p. So drum your drum little drummer boy, but I blame you for the lack of growth in this game. If staff didn`t have to babysit we might actually have a new area or 2 opened by now.

I see no difference in buying items in an online game to paying your friends real money for property during a game of monopoly. Just because you're too lazy/incapable of getting your own characters/items/whatever it doesn't mean that doing so by other means isn't a form of cheating. I've seen games ruined because of things like this, and I'd hate to see this one go down the same path.

If you've got too much money for your own good why not donate? you're helping advance the game for everyone in the long run, and not making yourself look like such a total loser.

There are quite a few areas completely finished and just waiting for the ok from JLH. More areas opening has nothing to do with Jurian donating, it's JLH saying "ok, let's open it now".

when i donated jlh actually said it would be a miracle if the game ever went p2p. second to that due to my donation jlh was able to buy that new router a bit sooner.

and what does my donation have to do with more ppl play'n this game? it's not like this game is really know around the world cuz i sent the owner some money. that's total bs. and completely off topic :D

Just takes the fun out of the game, I train as much as i can to buy my stuff on the game. I ain't spending money on a game that is designed to be free to all, giving everyone an equal chance.

Buying stuff with RL money just makes it unfair, as some rich boy may have the worst crit in the game, but could just send of a cheque, and get 10 new crits, 5 stat perf, and kick everyone's butt. It's like cheating in a way.

N who the right mind would actually chip out $150-$160 for a csotw?!? as i saw someone say they'd sell for. You could put that money to better use, like donate to JLH, so he can rid of the lag! - money worth spent

N im at college, without a job, so i wont be buying nowt =P

Good question, then again, an elite firearm specialist could do as much damage to someone with a 9mm pistol as another un-trained could do with a shotgun.

In other words; They have the ability to kill crits, just they do it without tactics, in a horde. Unlike some players who do have skill, always carry 2 healers, incase that ever happened, making the fight fairer.

I buy stuff from Insomnia and i donate, so it evens out if thats what makes u uspet. And im also at college, but i have a saterday job and i work on my free days, so with buying stuff i have to train less and can spent more time on my homework  :P

JLH cares too much about this game and knows that going P2P, he'd lose A LOT of players. But since he's still getting money from people donating, there's no reason for him to risk the whole game basically by charging people to play.

Don't get me wrong.. I don't want NM to go P2P, I just explainde how Roc (and JLH probably) was thinking.
