Title: virus warning :D Post by Jurian on 08/11/03 at 09:28:07 not sure where to put this but think this was where most ppl would read it :D i've now received a virus for the 4th time from 3 different e-mail messages. this wouldn't be worth posting if the second time i got the virus it had "nightmist fan" in the subject. i've received this virus from 2 different yahoo e-mail addies and the last one came from sweetchica4ever@hotmail.com. this is the message i get from my e-mail server. Warning: This message has had one or more attachments removed Warning: (msg-20860-897.html, .bat). Warning: Please read the "VirusWarning.txt" attachment(s) for more information. This is a message from the automatic Multikabel MailScanner ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The original e-mail attachment "msg-20860-897.html" contains the characteristics of a virus and has been replaced by this warning message. Please contact the sender of the e-mail to resend the attachment without the virus. At Mon Aug 11 01:02:00 2003 the virus scanner said: Found dangerous IFrame tag in HTML message This is a message from the automatic Multikabel MailScanner ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The original e-mail attachment ".bat" contains the characteristics of a virus and has been replaced by this warning message. Please contact the sender of the e-mail to resend the attachment without the virus. Me and virus scanners have tended not to get along very well, so I didn't even bother trying that.
