Title: NPCs

Kinda like the old riddle "If a tree falls in the forest and noone is around to hear it, does it still make a noise?", if noones on a square with a NPC, does it still talk?

I think it does, because it's programmed to say certain things, I doubt it cares if anyone is listening or not.

I know if a staffer is coverted and cloaked on the square with a monster it still shows them talking so I'd guess it still does talk with no-one there.

yeh coz the code prolly is programmed, if ya know what I mean, so it does it whether your there or not. And it runs on a timer so I very much doubt that it wouldn't talk if someone was on the square.

If I remember correctly it doesn't talk unless someone is on the square. If you find an NPC that no-one is near, notice how it always says it's speech in chronological order? You never step onto a square when it's half way through it's spiel (unless a player is already there or has gone past).
