Why do people have to blame their own stupidity to get stolen from on staff? Staff watch trades for you..if you want to be stupid and not have them there its your own dang fault. I didn't blame staff when Astral was robbed..and i didn't expect/demand that they did nething about it. I was stupid, it's not their problem. Why should they waste their time on it.. ::)

if it would have been a rule from the start maybe things wouldn't ahve gotten so bad. Ppl knew they could get away with theft as long as they didn't ahve staff look over the deal.

Well people shoulda been smart enough to have a staff look over the trade..considering it is and has been posted that staff are not liable for trades not watched by staff members..and As well it is named that cheating is against the rules..of course...and well stealing is cheating last time i checked

You can tell the thief coz they only trade when no staff are online, they say 'if you dont buy this (rare item) for (half what it should be) now, ill sell it to someone else... yet if you reply with 'put it on site then' the response is ALWAYS 'no coz someone else might get it'

heres all my encounters with theives i remember:

Wanted to buy sgs for 200k, no staff online, agreed to pay half up front half after, gave him 100k, he woudnt give sgs, staff logged on, suddenly he had to go....

Someone selling sgs for 150k, no staff online, told him to put it on site, he woudnt, he ran away and logged

hally for sale for 50k, no staff online, woudnt put it on site, he ran away (pbly to rip someone else off)

someone yelling about a expert crit for sale (underpriced of course), i said id buy, no staff online, told him to wait, he woudnt and sold it to someone else, then that person yells from the bank that they have been theived

saw a 'trade' in the bank, no staff online, woudnt put it on site, Medora logged on, he quickly logged (i posted log of this one)

Astrona, stop trying to kiss ass. Jurians right, it is about time this rule came in. People like Rich, Ed etc have stolen loads, and gotten away with it. Hell, Oracle even told Rich that he can steal as long as he gets rid of the stuff after (example: Steal spider gauntlets, sell for 240k. According to Oracle, you can't be banned now, and the 240k is yours)

I'm not trying to kiss "ass" unlike many of the brownnosers on this forum who just stick up for the people with higher lvl crits. It's common sense. Say you're on a trip and u have a two hundred dollar watch..ur warned to lock all valuables up..and you just happened not to lock ur watch up..and someone picks it up and conviently walks away with it..if you go griping to the airport and tell them that you didn't lock it up they're going to laugh in your face. If you don't follow the rules for safety..even though stealing is illegal..they're not going to waste their time. Same goes on Nightmist. Staff monitoring trades is a sure fire way to stop thievery in trades. If you want to take the risk and trade when a staff is online..guess what..you took the risk..just like leaving your watch unlocked..and personally..if u came crying to me about it..I'd laugh at you too..because it was ur own stupid fault.

Yes King, that's what I've been REALLY thinking about.. I mean, a game like this is somewhat getting on my nerves. Plus I got life to look at, not this. Though I'm still playing.. :-/ But when p2p comes up I'll prolly more then likely quit..

well i didn't read all replies yet cuz i got the idea they were starting to go offtopic but............

i never said this is a bad rule or anything and i never said you should trade without staff.

i just don't understand why this rule wasn't put in when ppl started stealing stuff (i never heard of stealing pre-reset) let's relate this to the watch :d

you don't llock it up and it's stolen ........... your mistake i agree but then again would the thief have stolen it if he knew there was a deathpenalty on stealing? maybe, maybe not. but i do think that if the thief knew he could get away with stealing the watch he would certainly try.
