Not logging on Nightmist much at the moment, its too boring i feel there needs to be something else; i will still be logging on maybe to get the odd bit of cash, I will talk to people too,...at the moment im playing a game called Revelation...

Don't know about anyone else, but earlier today when i tried to install it, it said that there was a missing .dll file when i tried running the updater or the actual client.  Has anyone else had this problem and did you manage to solve it?  :-/

My m8 got it working straight away and he said it was cool.  He sent me a screenshot at looks pretty good.  One of the things i particulary took note of was the fact that it had a map in the corner which told you ur position and squares around you which i think would be really cool in nightmist.  I think there is actually a post about it in suggestions....  :D

I tried downloading it but I got the stupid "Open With:" box... What is wrong.....? I tried the Patch Program and the Client downloads and they both came up with the same thing.......... ???

Thanks Melfice. I got WinAce.

When I go to open the Revelation client I get an "Error Starting Program" box that says:
The REVELATIONCLIENT.EXE file is linked to missing export MFC42.DLL:6877.

Then I get a:

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\RevelationClient.exe

A device attached to the system is not functioning.


Can anyone please help me???

I've got the exact same problem, i managed to fix the missing dll file by just dlin the dll but now get the same message as sausage  :(

If the game creator (Vasudeva) said he doesn't mind, then you shouldn't be jailed. Just play and pk, but tell them that Vasudeva said you can, then they shouldn't do anything.

Ok I realize this thread is a few days old, but I've been waiting that time for my password to get on the forums. Anyway... I'm a long time revelation player, recently started on nightmist. I noticed some people were metioning issues that they have had with the admins there, so I wanted to clear a few things up, from what I've seen and heard talking to Vasudeva.
The following actions are punishable by the admins:
Spamming/scrolling
Profanities in broadcasts
Making the game unplayable for others (i.e. PKing someone as soon as they spawn so they cant do anything at all.)

If you just go around and PK a few people, no matter how much anyone pregnant doges, if you don't break any of the above 3 rules then from what I've seen the admins can't do anything about it. If one of them gives you problems, try talking to them, if they still try to mute or jail you, report it. Either post on the forums there, talk to Vasudeva in game, or email him (his email is somewhere on the revelation site).

Also, if anyone ever needs any help or anything, you can message me in-game under the name Lord_Chaos.

Anyway, just thought I'd post to clear that up... its a great game, not quite as fully developed yet as nightmist as it is a bit newer, but the interface rocks and it has a lot of potential. Everyone should go check it out.
