Well we all know the drawbacks from a no teaming mosh. Yet they are most satisfying to win. Well I've been thinking, and I dont know how difficult it would be to code in, but...

Code all mosh squares so that only 2 people at any one time can move onto a square (sort of the same method as moving a big party towards Aet'Thol).

Once there is 2 people on the square it is locked (you cannot move whilst 'other player' is present), so that the only way is to kill the person on the square to move. Or just leave the mosh.

This would mean no one could run away. No one could team. The only drawback to this idea is if both ppl dont attack each other until the end. Then an afk time would need to be coded, so that 2 crits sitting on the same square for more than 1 minute both get removed from the mosh.

What do you think? Just a little idea.

Good idea, but it might not work because at the start, there would only be enough spaces for 8 people to move, so the rest would be sat there killing everyone, which would probably lead to teaming. It would be the same in a cube mosh, except that 12 people could move.

Maybe when you enter a mosh, it teleports you to a random mosh square instead of the middle?

At least it's worth trying out a couple of times. It's a new mosh system and ain't going to take the no teaming mosh's place.

A couple of different types of moshs would be great. :)

As far as the 1 minute time limit goes, what if the duel takes longer than one minute? It would seem kind of unfair to remove people from the mosh that are fighting.

Hmm....perhaps I didnt explain well enough.
Well apart from the staff member randomly walking about the mosh to check people are infact fighting. To remove them.

The point i made about 1 minute, is if none of the players on that square attacks each other, they just sit and talk and wait it out.
The individual fight can take as long as the mosh runs, just aslong as a minute doesnt go by with no attacks. The staff member would see people only attacking every 50 seconds too, and would then remove them where appropriate.

That is a rather good idea, but it would be a large hassle to code, if even possible. Also there would be so many bugs to fix outta it so the staff wouldn't completely flame if it was even possible to code.

as far as i know the largest functioning part of this idea is the 2 people per square maximum, and that's a grid code. the timeout however, i don't know, but the basic concept of it all shouldn't represent much of problem right?

the game already supports a max crits on square function, if the mosh arena was set for this tho, i foresee people trapping others, not sure. staff can easily enable/disable this anyway with some minor grid editing

I'm afraid to say this idea does not offer a valid solution for the correcting of said problem. You could trap yourself on a square with a teammate and wait for other players to wipe each other out and become depleted in supplies, and it defeats the point of it being a free for all battle when only two people are able to fight at the same time - 2v2 for example in a mosh would simply not occur.

Rather than post further suggestions 'a fix for a fix of a fix' below this try instead to analyse the idea - people will always be biased to attacking and singling out one person (when cavemen first hunted animals they didn't try to bring them all down, they circled and focussed on one - whether it be the weakest or not). You have to accept I think that moshes are not fair and equal when they are set to no teaming, and that the allowing of no teaming does not infer that people cannot work together to gang up on certain players. While this gives clans with many players in the mosh an advantage, there is no cure other than to simply give each player a generic name which would spoil the events completely.

This kind of mosh wasn't meant to solve the said 'problem', it's a completely new type and shall not replace the current no teaming mosh.

still pan, people will always gripe about competition no matter what is done or not done. in no teaming moshes staff try and limit the amount of unporportional fighting to a minimum and something like this would take a load off of the staffers who choose to manage moshes like that.

Doesn't really help at all, in a teaming mosh party command should be allowed, and nobody makes a party in no teaming, they just don't hit each other and all target someone.

Thats why when you enter a mosh It should be almost as if your wearing a costume. What do I mean? I mean your name doesnt show, Only your pic does. Clan chat turns off, As well as pages. You cannot chat with anyone, Even if they are on the same square, No emotes either.  

There ya go, THAT Is A no teaming mosh. Could that be done?

Edit: And either make it so you CANT look over people, OR so it says the same thing for every person... Like....

This has already been suggested a couple of times. One of the biggest problem though would be when people are attacking each others. A couple of people have weapons like CSotW, Rune Blade, Christmas Blade, Rune staff etc, which would make them wuite easy to identify.

Solving this by simply showing "You was attacked for xx amount of damage." would on the other hand remove every single shred of strategy from the no teaming mosh, since you can't even see the class of the enemy.

Simple, Forced DND upon entrance of mosh.

And insomnia, It wouldnt matter, So you would know who like maybe 3 people are because of weapons, And besides, Its not like you can say 'stop attacking me im your clannnie' Because all chat methods have been disabled...

Would take a bit *Ok a lot* of coding. But it would make a no teaming mosh.

is/are is present tense while was/were is past tense.  It all depends on the subject of the sentence.  For a plural subject, or one where the sub ject is the word "you", you use are/were, if it is singular such as the word "He" then one would use is/was.

Thats really sad, Lol but anyways. Its the best idea so far, As players would have to go out of game to contact each other...

You must admit, Its more in depth, and Would work a lot more than other methods. Because only diehard cheaters would contact each other out of the game to win a simple mosh...
