Archie is a big fan of trying to assassinate people then running right after he...usually fails


Caitiff tried to assassinate you, but failed and caused 243 points of damage.

Tacit attempted to assassinate you but failed.

Tacit, Caitiff just went North.

MMMM leading with proteus so he has enough stam to RUN real fast....  :-*

i get called a runner alot for that too, but i always get called a runner from the safety of town  ;) truth is, i always come back to my target until they die or run away.

It's called tactics, And a mighty fine one. Just like a drive by shooting is better than getting out of the car, walking up to the person, Shooting them in the head, getting back in the car, And driving away.

who would you respect more? 90% of the time i assassinate someone and dodge out before they can kill me, they immediately run away and call me a "runner". is that respectable? when they don't run away i kill them all because they're fool enough to sit and let me kill them one by one until they're weak enough to be finished. is that so respectable either?

true but i just don't like thieves that lurk around in the shadows while you just happen to be walkin along mindin your own business and suddenly your in a tavern with no idea who killed you.  i mean what do u think noobs do when they get assasinated and have nobody to page and whine at them lol.  :P

I personally wouldnt die just because people say what im doing is 'cheap' They only think its cheap because it makes them die.

If your up against an enemy that could crush you in ten seconds flat without even trying hard, But Would be confused, and panic if you used this certain tactic. What would you do?

It's good for kills, and as well survival. Its not meant to be honorable, Its meant to work  ;)

well the running doesn't bother me as much as obviously if it gets tough it's a last resort to suvive, i just don't like the whole assasination thing lol, like i said a thief can be hidden from anyone knowing their there and then kill you in one click without you even having the ability to think ha i'll get them later, lol, since you can't even know who it was that killed you.

ah well i guess i'm just moaning really from the times i've been assasinated by you d**n theives  :P

How about later on when I logged on Verdigris, Fervor, Stasis vs your 3 and owned you 3 times in a row till you blamed lag while running away with Epic then logged off.

The fact is Archie fights smart... how often do you see him die? I dont see him posting in here on how he killed you or anyone else... so dont act like hes doing something wrong... many people do the same thing if they can and or would if they could. Im starting to do it myself more often not because im a "runner" but because its much smarter pking.... so please stop ur whining and learn to fight smart like archie  :o

oh yeah ....one time ...my level 20  druid .... killed verdigris ..... tacit and stasis ....HA ...well...it didnt really happen, i just wanted to continue with the idiocy of this thread .... quite honestly ... archie is a great player if not one of the best ... if u think u can take him "fairly" let him know ...im sure he wont mind showing you up :)

Joker, you're one of the worst runners on nightmist. Every time I'm south of gates/gatehouses fighting someone else or simply standing there, you go down, rapid fire Epiphany/Wraith with 2-3 of your crits using macros, then run back north, afraid of getting killed. Sounds familiar, eh?

It's about fighting fair, fighting good. I could just go south, attack someone with all my crits and log/run as fast as I can, but I don't want people to treat me like if I'm from NBM or illuminati. Tactics means being able to fight and survive, not attack and then do anything to get the hell out of there before the others get a chance to attack back.

Insomnia good point, azreal your a moron stfu...and someone said that what archie does is tactics....potato pregnant dog tactis...he trys to kill you, doesnt suceed and then runs away with his tail between his legs, but if he actually does get a hit or two maybe kills one crit he still runs after that like alittle pregnant dog

People only stay and fight 'Honorably' *stupidly* because they dont fear losing thier character/gold/items

They just appear back at thier bind point, and set out again.

They die because its the easiest way, They die because they dont have the guts to win, and have people hate them at the same time.


People that frown at tactics just because they see them as 'dishonorable' Are stupid. I would rather win, and fight another day. Then die, and have someone brag about it on the forums.

Could fix this all by making chars STAY DEAD when you die, OR having thier most expensive item acctually DROP off thier dead body. No more of this recklessly charging into battle sh!t.

Bloody hell no! I'm sorry, but I got rather pissed playing RoK and losing my bloody items whenever I died, plz do not have this even considered...not unless your willing to make a spell or something to make it so that it won't drop.

See, This tactic isnt more widely used, because people dont care about it when they get killed.

And like dognapot said, Its the only way for a smaller more agile force to destroy a slower more bulky one. Therefore, I find that it is a very smart tactic

lol, proteus did the same thing to me, rapid me, run, come back, rapid me, run, repeat 15-20 times. im currently in the process of lvl'ing a druid, and is at lvl 21.

This is not a tactic, it is planly cowardness. not being able to take someone out, so you run away. DesireMe as well does the same thing.

What I got to say to these people? Be a man with some balls and come after my party of 16 crits. they may suck, but even the best have used excuses :).

You can't even support you telling me to 'stfu' because you can't even fight correctly? That's pathetic, you run around with 3 crits hoping to PK some newb but run when you can't beat a single mage. Oh and don't get me started on chasing you around the forests, those were always great.

I've asked like all my friends what they think of this tactic, and they all say its a good on, and should be used more often.

The point is, Why would you die when you dont have to? you wouldnt thats the point
