Title: Best Nightmist moment? Post by Azrael on 04/12/03 at 03:07:46 I haven't seen a post about this, so if I missed it, :O Anyway, what was your favorite nightmist moment? Anything in general, mine would have to be back about 10 - 12 months ago, I was a newb then and I was sitting south of RH (back when the exp was good and the pking was low) fighting the random things on one of my original character, when all of a sudden the Asp I'm fighting goes "Don't sssssssss kill ssssssss me ssssssss" and in my head I'm like "WTF" and Savino appears in his bunny form and watches me kill the Asp. I forget how the conversation went but I asked if he could attack me with a Insert Weapon Here and he said no, hit me with a guiter and warped away. |

But uhh my best time had to be when i was a beanie. I had Dank, THC, and Beaner. We heard through the grapevine that bod was at the crystal giant, and that it was mort. Jess rounds up the clan to go try to snag the kill. So we bust in.. after a bit of fighting THC, and Beaner both died. I was left with only Dank equipped with a spiddy staff. Heh, so i could do pretty much nothing but hit the cg. Some how i got lucky and got the kill ;) I remember logging and about 15 minutes later logged back on, equipped the ring real fast and boom, was assassinated by Lone. Lol the good o'l days. Oh yah cant foget this one either this was quite cool! You attacked a Black Dragon with a Halberd for 49 points of damage, slaying it. Ty Zephie for that fine quest. |

The most awesome thing that ever happened was when my friend, a lvl 19 fighter with crap stats, killed the general. Everyone was like wtf and we ran our asses off trying to get out. So here is this lvl 19 with a hally who doesn't really even know what its for, man good times. Oh yeah, heh. The crit name was jimmydascorpe, and after escaping, Jen said BoD was going to hunt him down and had him on kos. After that she gave the crit the nickname of jimmydacorpse. |

Everyone going for me instantly, and still winning in under a minute heheh. The introduction of Barbarians/Assassinate being changed to negate armor, being invincible is boring. The big reset. Worst Moments The 'free quest item day' that turned into a month pre-reset Discovering that I was literally invincible with the armor I had on Ebony, staff couldn't kill me without using special commands(before barbarians were introduced/assassinate changed). Melior sending me photos of his 'thumb'. Realizing it wasn't his 'thumb'. Realization of what the majority of the players are like by attempting to start a pure roleplaying clan on a noname alt, and getting absolutely no interest. Then as a test putting Ebony in the clan and getting almost everyone begging for invites. I'll add some more soon |

Finding a way to exploit the banshees using a mage/thief combo to make 500k every 15 minutes. Getting a complete private tour of Tiennos Mansion. Full Plate Mail getting removed (manually) from all mages. I somehow slip through the cracks and remain one of the only active mages with full plate and x4 armor spell for two months. Post-reset: Council of Elders. RP nite at the Boar's Tusk inn with Odin as bartender. Foppish Follies at the O/E. Creating Extreme Trivia. Playing homoerotic mind games on n00bs with the Saucy Aussies. |

Selling all the mana back to shop and making about 20k per fight. Forest of Souls gold runs with WiCkEd_PhrEaK. Knowing the directions out of The Void and charging people for the way out, or just running through the traps waiting for them to die. Suicide Clan Wars! ;D The day Ste (Stigmata) took over Night Skys and raided their vaults dropping everything they had for the BoD members. (I got a morning star and a spider staff! Go me!) |

Post by dognapot on 04/13/03 at 03:14:12 i was still quite a noob when this happened but it was back when BoD was some sort of reckoning force and everyone not in it was against it and paladins ruled competition. fun times, and i was sitting covert over every interesting thing and avoiding training. anyways the actual moment involves ste, kev(?) and someone else i don't know who, but they were harrassing paul and he was on brimstone666 who was only 15 mill from turning 30. those boys harrassed paul into training to 30 at that very moment by convincing him that everyone thought he was whipped by android_20(mark if i remember right). he was sharing with paul for some unknown reason. paul unknowingly fell right into thier trap and shouted back a stream of whiny obscenities then he logged brimstone and went directly to the barracks where he was killed. he apparently went back and was killed again. i missed some of this because i was working under covert but it ended with him cursing alot, logging off, and those boys who set him back laughing maniacally. at that point i gained alot of respect for those guys despite thier habits consisting of killing my clan. even though i didn't play a part in it, that event shaped and inspired much of my pk antics from there on. edit: just remembered a more personal good nightmist time. me chad and hells killed a black dragon that was in hells clan house. it appeared there one day, we made a noexp loss arena out of the square and made a pub above it and spent an hour and a half killing it. grushenka got the kill and the room turned out to be glitched and we all lost like 130 million experience, but hell, my profile still says i killed a black dragon. |

Post by Melfice on 04/13/03 at 14:07:04 One of the funniest and shocking moments of nightmist is the time when nightmist converted to the current account system and the whole thing went wrong and accounts were going into chaos n i was at a mates, n we made an account and we ended up loggin into matts account with access to characters such as Carnage, Archany etc i think. We just both sat there starin at the screen in disbelief like :o :o lol. but then they just reset the server n restored all the accounts as normal lol. Ah well it was fun for the few minutes it lasted, heh. ; ;) |

We ended up just killing eachother instead lol, But the stone lord dropped when I killed it and ran from all the drunkards ::) Getting Like the 2nd or 3rd Grant for an instant lvl 30... If I do remember I used it on sephiroth *30 mage, 17 at the time* The funny thing was though that sephiroth had lvl 28 spells at lvl 17... So really I only took it for him to get the mana LOL Finding my way through that castle in the swamp alone. Killing masterlocke... *I caught him off guard with my 30 mage, and killed him before He could assassinate me :P* Ah jeeze... Finding a square with 4 swords of sharpness on it... Hehe. Having a crappy barbarian that could still be playable! Post-reset Uh... Killin the general... The begger didnt drop either... I was like... BLARG Oh god lots more.... |

Getting 200k and a level 15 mage for making a crit with a name someone wanted :D Winning my first level 30 mosh with a level 24 paladin (The power of revive) Fighting with Mike (Stotic) in pern undead, we were both newbies lol. Finding ways to manipulate the game using monsters/mages/thieves, which allowed me to gain 5mil gold in like a day.......I was a newbie with a Cobalt staff of the winds.... Me and mark leveling a mage to 30 in like 6 hours at harlequin. When myself, mark, kev and velius went around killing every boss in the game (even ones that no one else could). Making the highest ranking clan in the game. (dark shadows) After Reset. Being first level 30 thief. Sharing with kev. Making bod. Kicking everyones ass in bod. Making DragonHeart, equiping it with 2 bos's and all the trimmings. Winning every single mosh and triplex for like 3 months with DragonHeart. Dueling 10 members of the Red Legion clan with Dragonheart alone, and winning. Sharing with al. pking with al using like 20 lvl 30s :D Being staff. |

Also, when we were just newbs, we jumped like three guys who were in the Temple of Giant, and nailed them, losing very little hp. The time a mini quest was made, and Odin killed the person who got the drop, the Demon Battle Axe, and hid in the CotDS clanhouse, and to save himself from being hunted from now to eternity, he sold it to either Yuki or Gunner. When CotDS was 3rd strongest clan in the game. Getting Razor Claws at an uber cheap price. Oh the good old days :-[ |

Jen comes along.. she sees me and says.. /t Jasper DEATH .. it was such a classical/memorable moment. Then, one time me and my friend Nicole were at Northen Gates and this chic called us Negros. So, we combinded them together and we'd say to each other.. /t NicoleBaby DEATH NEGRO! So hilarious! Those are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head. (Notice how Jen is mentioned in almost all these posts, she has such a reputation, lol) |

When people used to talk to my brother about 'Rejected' my first mage, and how awesome he was. Then telling him how 'Exile' was annoying, and how much they hated him. Also me, he was my Necromancer, had some great times. Single handedly wiping out LotN members in a clan mosh while the Devastate bug was unknown *giggle*. Getting the first Precise Crystal Shield. Moaning to Pandilex that the Red Dragon wasnt dropping anything after 50 kills. So he put a x-mas present as the drop and I got a Christmas Helm. Going through Isyngs assault course, and picking up my gifts for completing it. Demonstrating the Devastate bug to Isyng with him healing his alt. Not noticing his hp got to 2000, and thus almost dying. Almost had him ;D POST Leveling my mage Eternyte to level 30 in about 4 days. Good old Jahanna Tavern. Meeting a load of cool new people. Who might not have played pre-reset, and catching up with old friends like Odin and Deval (sorry for those missed out). Being in Consumbed by Hatred with Gouki, Velius, Ninjarai and Disjunction. Them were the gold old days post-reset. Also thoroughly enjoyed my time with Brotherhood of Darkness, and Triad. Now at home within The Resistance. Sometimes getting along with Rich, sometimes not. After you get past the idiotic exterior, he can actually be an alright guy. Winding up people and sending them on wild goose chases, like sending people looking for the 'Rune Tree' and the 'Grandfather Clock'. Then tricking people into exiting the game with various shotcuts. I have had numerous of great moments and memories from Nightmist, and I'm sure I will have many more. For those who I hold dear, I thank you for a very enjoyable gaming experience. p.s. This is not a quitting notice!! (I might copy it for when it's needed though)...hehe ;D |

Square was full of people and all they saw was mana crystals hittin the floor. other great moment was when jen told me to pk darriousmilenko at worn path, so i went and rounded him, said his picture looked like a giant rat so i killed it. we laughed and laughed... |

I attack with my blade of honor.. she attempts to assassinate and misses.... then I attack again... and I kill her... I was shocked... running back to town I refresh myself then go back out. I run into her and we had a good laugh about it... Worst moment - Ahh yes..... when I was a noob and all, I was running around in Nightmist and was told by someone at the northern gates in order to get a Ring of Empathy... you had to kill 1000 bunnies in a row.... let's just say I quickly found out... after 234 bunnie deaths.. that it wasn't true... |

Several months ago I deleted two level 28 fighters with terrible stats, and started then all over(Talyn an Momba) I trained and trained and trained. 2 days ago I clicked the level up button for the last time on Talyn You have increased to level 30, and gained 20 hp. Last night I clicked that big shiny green button for the last time on Momba You have increased to level 30, and gained 26 hp Leveling a crit from 1-30 for the first time is my Best Nightmist Moment:) |

Losing the "Cloak, Attack" method. Complaining to JLH, as I missed the "Cloak, Attack" method. Running for staff, losing horribly. Getting the Orge Helm. Trying to be a "Transport" (Transporting people from place to place) Running into the executor my first time transporting. Having to pay everybody for the money I lost them. Losing in a Mosh, but getting the Snow Boots because my name was cool.(Mr_Jingles) Trading the Snow Boots for a Colbalt Staff of the Winds. Watching the count-down to new nightmist. NEW NIGHTMIST: Having the 3rd non-staff character. (Mr_Jingles) Getting lost in the sewers within 5 minutes. Being partied with Savino, lost in the sewers. Being the first, (with Savino) to find Arlin. Quitting Nightmist. Comming Back to Nightmist. |
