Mount Maligo - Player Area

This is an area I am currently working on with Sintra? in game. Posting to get peoples opinions on the area etc. Story: Eons ago, long before the mist settled, the Gods Earth, Wind, Water and Fire combined their forces to create what we now see as existence. They made a pact together; everything that they formed would be made in a harmony between the four. Nothing was to be made with too much, or too little of any of the essences of the Gods. Vulcan, the God of Fire, was a noble being, but had an unquenchable thirst for power. He wanted to be revered above any of the other Gods, and seen as the true savior of the world to come. He began to manipulate the other Gods against each other, and began instilling the essence of fire into all that was being created. It did not take long until the other Gods caught on to Vulcan’s misdeeds and reprimanded him. They removed all of the extra fire essence from the world and used it to create an area, where they believed to be unreachable by any of the beings they planned to create. They planned this area as a place to incarcerate Vulcan. This area formed into a large, inactive volcano. The remaining three Gods, Leighton being the leader, gathered all of the creatures that Vulcan had created and imprisoned them in the volcano. The three Gods then used all their power to transform Vulcan into a mortal creature unlike the world had ever seen. They also placed him in the fiery depths of the volcano and sealed it with the remains of their essences. Leighton then placed upon it the name Mount Maligo, meaning to commit evil. For ages it stayed this way until, like all living things, the magical spell withholding the volcano began to age and decay away. Though strong enough to keep the creatures imprisoned in, it was no longer potent enough to keep wanderers out. The closer and closer that civilization came to the volcano, the more and more it would quake and crack. Eventually fire erupted from the top and vents of the volcano. After cooling there were many passageways into the volcano, which some brave adventurers began to explore…. Possible Monsters: Fire Demon, Blazing Bat etc.. Description Examples: /grid 55:Baron Land /grid 78:Ashen Plains (So-n-So pages you from Baron Land (Ashen Plains): Blah) /grid 1:You are standing in the middle of what looks like endless plains of ash and hardened lava. You notice as you walk that you can feel heat from the ground, even through your boots. /grid 2:It is hard to see anything around you because the air is filled with ash. As you breathe in you can feel the dry, foul ash fill your lungs and coat your tongue. To the north you can make out an outline of a large structure, but are unable to decipher what it may be because of the thick clouds of ash that surround you. /grid 55:Treacherous Stone Viaduct /grid 78:Mount Maligo (So-n-So pages you from Treacherous Stone Viaduct (Mount Maligo): Blah) /grid 1:You are standing on a long, narrow bridge in the middle of a large cavern. The bridge seems largely made of polished feldspar, yet does not seem as strong. The columns holding the bridge do not look as strong, and seem to slowly fall apart as you watch. /grid 2:The Bridge is slightly curved upward, reaching its peak in the middle of the cavern. The closer to the top of the bridge you become, the harder it becomes to breathe. You can see the air and fumes waiver together and rise from the beds of lava that lay beneath you. Some pieces of the stone that makes the bridge protrude, making it harder to keep your footing. Have worked with this player for some time. Everything is looking good, any updates sintra, map etc? (I think you did have a map, I may have lost it )

Sounds interesting. Creativity seems solid here. You just have to bring it into the map designing portion now.

I think it was put together very well and seems to have been throughly thought about and well made. Very nice with the creative descriptions and will be looking very forward to seeing it put into play. Great Job!
