Sort of login trouble

after reading the router messages and the faq, i can log in with my account but it hangs after i pick one of my crits, I'm not sure where to go from here, i have been playing for over 6 months without much trouble at all , it also crashs/hangs if i try to create a new crit once i submit i name for verification... seems to me like a connection problem , i'm using the alt-dns and port right now. any ideas?
