JLH, i thought u had new software/hardware put in so that there would be less lag, as far as i have seen tho there is still as much lag as before, im not ripping anything, just wondering if the stuff u put in is working to its desired effect, and if its not, im bringing it to ur attention that its not working. my connection is lightning fast (t1), and i never lag but when i do i find there is something wrong, only time i understand when i lag is when moshes occur(logical) or games are being played(russian roullette). but when i lag during regular game mid day, i get some horrible lag at times, and my ping sits around 300 during busiest times, leaving me to get killed when i leave a town...

The new hardware (an additional 1mbps cable line) is in, however as i posted on the announcements post, running 2 cable lines simultaneously on the same pc worked, but now and then one of the network cards stopped transmitting for 15 seconds so i disabled the extra line pending a solution.
In the meantime, i have found a solution, a lovely nexland router (800pro turbo http://nexland2.temp.veriohosting.com/products/product.cfm?id=4) which has the ability to combine multiple cable/dsl/tX feeds into 1 via load balancing and i will have this shiny purple box very soon to solve the lag issues which occur at peak times.

also, although you say you are on a t1 line (which is 1.5mbps up and down) and cost around a thousand a month for a true leased line, you seem to have a comcast cable connection with 1.5mbps down and 256kbps up. so not technically t1, but would seem to be for downloading however not for uploading.

Your highest Ping is 300? Geez, On my connection thats on a very fast day. (Try leaving town with 1200 ping....)

A 300 ping is me on a good day. During peak times I usually get "Pinging was not successful. Either your computer can't send pings, or you're lagging." The lagging part of it seems like mockery to me, because I know that already without the unsuccessful ping telling me that.

300ms is 0.3s and is perfectly playable
the uk-east coast usa link is about 90ms
east coast usa to west coast usa is about 50ms
a dialup user pings their isp for about 100ms
a cable/dsl user pings their isp for about 10ms
so the best ping a user can get in west coast usa is about 170ms for cable or 260ms for dialup.

It's costing me £340 actually, which is about $550. I looked into ordering it from USA, but the shipping charge, and also a bank transfer would have to be done, and customs duty's import tax meant it would still come to about £300 ($500) so i'm going to get it here.
