I find that when I am fighting a boss monster, I don't always notice the powerful attacks of another player employing hit-and-run tactics to take me out - the risk is amplified if I am in a large party where I do not immediately see the player-killer appear in the list. Would it be feasible for the program to playback a short Klaxon or something if you are attacked by another player for the first time since you entered the square that you are currently in?

As long as it is toggleable i see nothing wrong with the idea. I don't often get attacked on my parties without knowing, but if my training or boss parties were attacked...i would probably miss it...12 crits fills screen and i wouldnt see them pop out.

I think that would be a good idea, but it would definately get annoying, plus it takes away some of the surprise, if your mad cause you aren't paying attention, maybe pay attention a little more. I agree that is hard to realize before you're dead, but it's not supposed to be easy, if it were people would never get a pk.
