Show clan on forum?

Is there any way to add a text telling what clan you belong to on your forum account? Like I'd have a text saying "Member of The Resistance" (or maybe even Leader of The Resistance?) below the forum pic or below your post (in the singature). I guess one way to do this - so that people won't abuse it and write a clan that they aren't actually in - is to create a group for every clan where the chairman decides who are allowed to be in it... Anyways... I'd like to see something like this. I always get confused in clan discussions and it'd help out alot if I could actually see which clan he/she belongs to. Peace

Just put it in your signature, or even below the avatar. Of course there is the possibility of people saying they are in a certain clan when they are not, but i can't really see how to solve that. I do not like the idea of making member groups for all the top clans, since only admins can change the position of players.

i am not aware of a yabb mod to do it. also, php is a language not a name of board, ie yabb is written in perl. some php boards that i can think of off hand are invision, vBulletin, phpbb (maybe you meant that).

for a php based forum using a mysql backend, i'm fond of invision, however it doesn't have extra mod support, and no membermap (although a new addition to this board, i like it). As for efficiency, invision is vastly superior to yabb (although yabb2 coming in a few months have got yabb up to the same sorts of speed) and requires php and mysql, whereas yabb runs off perl. I would have probably gone for invision when i created the forums had i not found yabb first and liked it.

invision is sexy, yabb I always thought of as hard to mod because not many people use it (I see phpbb forums all the time) so there isn't much demand or supply for/of mods.
