so we're all too wimpy face mortality in nightmist head on. well let's make it a slight alteration. instead of 'you die and that's it, start over' why not introduce 'guys'.

yes 'guys' make this process easier. every crit would have 5 lives, and when they're gone they're gone, but you should be able to add on to your original 5 and get more guys. ok, now discuss.

it takes a long time to train a crit to level 30 . . . and it doesn't take much time at all to die 5 times  Undecided
 
If anything . . . I would much prefere to see a limit on your crits dying per day than a "final death" . . . ie  you die the crit can't be moved from the pub for 24 hours or something like that

Reminds me of video games.. where you have lives.. once they're up.. you start over from the beginning. I rather not see this happen.. I've worked hard for what I have.. as well as the others.

yeah people work hard but nightmist goes on. the only hard part in adapting to something like this is that very few people know how to stay out of danger and still play aggressively. so naturally, idiots will lose thier work.

Roll Eyes I agree with despair make it so if you do die you cant play your crit for about 1hour or so dont make it so long. Then when you log back on and you can play again it says, "You have been healed and you are ready for action". Hey you guys check out the suggestion New Charcter Pics that I made and write what you think about it please. I think what I wrote was a good idea..

I agree.. It'd be a good idea, after dying 5 times or so within a 24 hours period, you can't play for a few hours. Moshes and Triplex are obviously not counted towards the total, as well as Arenas.

sounds good, maybe when a crit levels up it gets the 5 lives back? that would sorta balance out the low levels...since they die easier, it would prevent them from getting screwed over so badly by this...and they level up easier so there's a less chance of them having their day ruined by some ruthless pkers(covert thieves, camo tracking druids  Grin)

Nice idea, but you know as well I do that it'd never get implemented.  The majority of the players would never, EVER agree with something that would decrease the amount of 'power' they have - regardless of how much more interesting it'd make the game.

If this gets implented then it would be more of a waiting game, its already boring as it is  Grin. Every new player will just get killed 5 times, not that hard, and they wont be able to play.  
 
And as for Harky's post, it would actually increase the power of most elder players seeing as they can just wipe the entire player base from the game.

But of course we all know that the people with the power will not agree with this idea because of course they would have to be careful when pking....

Im not saying they wil get deleted, but making them inactive for a few hours is kinda the same, u only have to do it like 3 times a day. And the only players still playing are the elders, why wont they agree with it, they can kill anyone anyways.

no way, when your outta guys, you're pushing up daisies. that's the point, there needs to be a finality to things in nightmist. life goes on forever and things pile up eternally and we can go on forever and never need to pay attention, or calculate a risk. after awhile, it'll get boring.

You should try games like phantasia four... They have 'lives' And you only start with one.... so a miss click spells death.

i think we're all a bit more outgoing than to let that happen. with this extra-lives idea you will have a certain amount of space to that you'll be safe in. people in nightmist adapt to the system that is imposed and often exploit it even. i doubt everyone will sit in town and twiddle thier thumbs, especially when there's the possibility of putting someone down for good.
