I'm currently a few mil from level 28 and every since getting this spell I have felt it has been to easy. I brought the idea up to people on my friends list and they seem to agree that with the spell Depurate Undead the crit is somewhat unchallenging.
My suggestion is that another spell be given at level 19 that has just a little less kick and that Depurate Undead be a level 27 spell. The challenging part is that you get the Scroll of Depurate Undead as an alternate drop from Lyzanthir the Enchanter.
Feel free to add to this suggestion. My idea is to make Pacifist a challenging crit.

that'd be cool...but they'd need to make pacifists be able to get the drop, maybe an entire new area, solving the lack of undead as well.

I don't have Depurate Undead yet but it seems to do too much damage for that level

i dont really think there is a problem with it..i think it makes sense to make the class fairly simple to lvl since they cannot bring mana carriers with them to the musuem, if they had a weaker healing spell it'd make it very difficult to lvl, and i dont really see the point in doing so since DU on my elf with 21 char does a little less than 20 more than my dwarf cleric with 17 charisma, and my dwarf cleric can bring 5 thieves full of mana with him so he doesnt have to tribute gold to keep getting mana.

Edit- lvl 25 dwarf cleric's max is 84 max with aid.
lvl 21 elf pacifist does 98 max with DU.

Make them hard eh?

A class that cant join parties, and cant join clans, and cant bring magic crits. Oh and cant attack as well... Well... Why NOT make them have a weaker spell... They might as well be virtually impossible to level... Then people would REALLY be forced to roleplay with them.

Seriously... What difference does it make to anyone about how easy the class is to level? It doesnt put ANYONE at a disadvantage... so WHY change it?

Want a hard class to level? Take a mage to level... Oh and dont take magic crits with you. *Have fun*

A Pacifist can get the drop from Lyzanthir the Enchanter. He can be defeated by healing him. So this would be a perfect boss for the drop. And concidering staff is working towards alternate drops for the current bosses in game I thought this was best for the idea.
I do however agree that an area needs to be put in that would allow for more dead monsters. I'm not aware of any areas being worked on with dead monsters, but ya never know what the gang might have up theri sleevesSmiley

Gaddy you will find that 90 is a drop in the bucket as you get a few levels. Right now my Pacifist is healing for 110 easy. I'm not suggesting the spell is to powerful. I just don`t think it should be given the power at level 19.

Now ole Bean. I wasn`t suggesting making it impossible to level. At level 19 they are healing for 90+ with a x x 19 18 20 21 crit. At level 27 that same spell has increased to 107. Why not just tweak it a little. Offer a spell at level 19 that say does 75-80. You don`t actually lose that much. Then as with other healers in the game have that spell increase with levels til you reach a max of say 95. Then at level 27 you have something to look forward to. Killing yet another boss and getting a drop that will benifit the Pacifist class. Right now we have the Demonic General, Spider King and Aet' Thon(or what ever his name is). Why even goto the general with a Pacifist. The EXP in the museum is better and last much longer. Oh and did I mention that even if you did get the Halberd, you can`t use it.
I`m not suggesting making the class as hard as a mage. I'm only suggesting challenge the class at higher levels. Gives players 1 more spell to look forward to. After level 19 Pacifist have 2 spells Self Shield and Justice Zone. Why not make a spell that is actually useful....
I respect your view Bean. And so as to not turn this into a Roc and Bean pregnant dog Thread I will leave it alone and allow others to express their views on the subject. I think you have done a great job on expressing yours as well....

yes, but Divine Restoration works on people too, and you can party clerics, so they cannot heal for so much at a low lvl because then there would be no reason to lvl them except hp and mana.  Making the drop by lythazir would be ridiculus because they'd have to make the area undead or expect you to get it with alts, which wouldnt be roleplaying..which i understand was one of the main ideas of the class....and i garauntee you you will not kill lythazir with a solo pacifist and 1 inventory (would be less after having to get to him) of mana.

Edit- point being you can heal people with DR and cannot with UD, i don't really see the problem with them being able to lvl quickly, its not like they really can anyway.  I'd use archies Arch pacifst here- took him 2 days to lvl it to arch, with ana and issy helping, archie hmm... he has also lvl a ranger to arch in 2 days..so how much easier could this pacifist have been? i mean..ranger at arch in 2 days he had to spend the whole 2 days, pacifist to arch in 2 days and he had some help with that mind you...so obviously it wasnt THAT easy to lvl them since he can do a ranger in the same time, and everyone always says rangers are hard to train, just not as hard as mages.

o and yes..the bold things were mostly just me being bored.

Self shield is far from useless when used in tandem with subdue.

And really no offense, But why take damage away from a crit that CANT attack... they cant log on alts... they have NO advantages that all other classes have.

THAT is why they do so much more damage, Because they THEMSELVES and nothing more... other classes can rely on parties, and they can do all that other stuff... That is why they do LESS damage.

At least thats the way i see it.

well, i dont really see it the same way..but agree damage should stay at what it is, my reasoning is the same cleric compared to pacifist way, except pacifist will only use DU to train and make gold basically...they dont need it in most places they will be "exploring" so really that is why they do so much so low....so they can lvl quickly and get to go explore.

Pacifists cant get to the lyzanthir coz u need to kill 3 bosses (mayor, painting and totempole) that require attacking. A new undead area would be better

back on topic, depurate undead and this whole discussion about it reminds me of the whole druids getting stormwrath at lvl 10...same thing right? getting a strong spell at a lower lvl....and nothing was ever done with stormwrath so why should we bother with depurate undead?
