as discussed in mage discussion, i think a mage sould have more hp or more dmg - class ratio

a mage is so much more hard to train than all othere class... so should be most powerful, or at least have a small edge to take on parties at a time...

too many mages high lvl can be rounded (unspelled) by lvl 15-17 zerkers.....

maybe some more spells??

just a thought...

Depends how/where you train. Sure desert is best place for xp, but why go when you can beam orcs and trolls for 20+ points more damage and they are closer to a town. For the most part, Mages are fine except they need more armor supposedly because Druids have more which has nothing to do with them "needing" more armor.

I think Mages should hit for way more than what they do, like in the 100's/120's. Mages compensation for their low HP should be their high hitting spells. They don't do much physical work, so they don't get much hp. It makes sense. They tune their magic more than anything. Devestate should be added in game.
If berserkers can berserk for 130+, why not let mages devestate for 120+ ?

i think mage discussion has been beaten to death. there's no possible way that we can bring anything new to the table until some new stuff happens to mages.

mages get resistated a lot, fizzle, cant hold as many pots as regular classes, and have the lowest hp...why shouldnt they be able to kill something with 3 Devestates? i doubt they'll kill anything in 3 straight Devestates, and if they dont kill what their attacking, they can easily and quickly be killed

Firstly...If its already being discussed on Mage Discussion. Why the hell are you posting it again here?

Secondly, mages shouldnt do 120+ damage, unless on a 1 wisdom crit. With Devastate. Although I do appreciate where your coming from with Zerks. However, then fighters would need to hit for 120+ etc. so it wouldnt work. Also Zerks miss on average more than mages. Even though I have done rounds of Beam for 0 damage.

Thirdly, if you care to look on the Mage Discussion. You will notice that most of the formentioned ideas have already been stated.
