In most every RPG game I've played there is a critical attack.
Now in this game it wouldn't show up to often, but it could help when killing monsters or protecting yourself.
 
Faint attacked a Black Bear with his Great Axe 72 points of damage. CRITICAL ATTACK
 
Lol, this may be a stupid idea but i think it could be useful. Although everyone does hate my ideas

Good idea, but it would be better if it didn't say 'CRITICAL ATTACK' at the end in my opinion. Something like:
 
You smahed a Brown Bear with your War Hammer for 55 points of damage.  
 
Instead of :
 
You attacked a Brown Bear with your War Hammer for 30 points of damage.
 
Maybe each type of weapon could say something different, like blunt weapons say 'You smashed', swords might say:
 
You slashed at a Brown Bear with your Blade of Honor for 75 points of damage.
 
Just seeing 'You attacked' gets a little boring  Tongue

So.. If your max hit was normally say: 75, you could maybe do 80??

unless your a very high level dwarf, or just a berserker you can be rounded about just as often as a critical hits should happen so i don't think it's neccessary to have them right now.

It would be a cool thing, And doggy... It doesnt NEED to be put in, It would just make sense.
 
Sorta like if your firing a gun and you get luck and hit them in the head instead of the legs or whatever.

I really can't see a valid reason why this should be added to the game in it's current state.
The only reason the majority are for the idea is because it'll improve their characters in someway giving them more power.
You should really weight up both sides to something, like in this case what are the plus points and down points of having critical attack added.
Plus points -  
It'll be interesting and add a bit of strategy to the game.
 
down points -  
Players can get 1 rounded by generally any class at whatever level, and critical attack would just make it easier.
There are more important things JLH could be coding in.
The game is not set up to support a critical attack option as of now, due to the fact that strategy is no longer a part of fighting - It all comes down to who rounds who first usually.
 
Overall it would make a nice addition to the game, if it weren't possible to get rounded by another player in 1 round or click.

I agree, basicly any crit can be rounded easily already.
 
Think about berserkers whom at lvl 30 can do round of 600 damage, and a critical hit making it hit twice as hard..giving it even more of an advantage it doesn't need.

hmm they never said the critical hit should happen really often nor did anyone say it should be the same for all classes. maybe make a critical hit be one attack in like 25 attacks?
 
make zerkers only have a slightly higher critical hit and maybe druids or clerics have a big diff? Cheesy
