Might sound stupid, but i just fought it was a wacky idea, if you could make a offline type of nightmist I fought it would be a good idea for people who dont have infinite amount of time to stay on the internet (People who want to play, but who only allowed on internet for set period off time )

Say they did do this, you wouldent be able too use offline crits online (and online offline) that would be cheating

so your point is they play on their own offline but can't use these crits online :d only benefit to this is that you could explore the map a little when you can't be online (would be too easy to cheat if you could use your offline crits online )

i was working on a visual nightmist.....sorta like the ol 8-bit nintendo roleplaying games, but when i quit this game....i kinda gave up on that. i still have the file around here somewhere. ive also had a few people suggest making a mod for it on neverwinter nights.....im thinking it would work nicely on morrowind too. ....just depends on how much time you're willing to spend on the project.

actually its not that bad of an idea in my opinion, yes you couldn't use your offline crits online, but other than that it would attract alot more members to the game, because they could play it even when they are not online, and plus a offline version would be the perfect tool for learning the game and having more of a experience with it so that the higher up lvl ppl dont just get a slaughter fest on the newbies, because now thye know a little bit more about the areas and such. New areas can be downloaded as a patch or something....that would be nice but only if JHL is willing to condense the game into a smaller non-server usage program...

It would be very cool, but I doubt JLH will do it.

Couldent JLH make a another download of the current map, too a offline type, and people could make areas for it for the people who play it if they wanted too? :-\

This would be awesome. Go exploring and just to have the feeling of all your well trained crits (since there would be no pk'ing.) Although in order for animals to respawn and such would make it more detailed... Maybe even have the feeling of owning a Cobalt. I dunno. This would just be fun to do. Maybe make it so you could play your online characters offline, but their progress or gold made while offline could not be put ingame....? But, I would like some feedback from JLH or Pandilex on the probability of it being implemented or possibly what would have to be changed about. Please?

Hmmm... tempting idea, but the patches for new areas shouldn't be downloadable until a while after they've been explored ingame, or everyone would just map them out offline, taking all the fun out of exploring under pressure (love ya Vampyre )

If you were to make it into an offlline game, you would at least have to give it some basic story line, otherwise its ultimately just a 'hints' program. Giving it a story line wouldn't be all that difficult either. But generally, all it seems to be is a horrendous task, for people with an already horredous workload.

Auto-quests? Maybe something similar to Diablo. Do this then come back and listen to me babble on and then go do this other thing, come back and I will give you some weird item you can never figure out how to use.

I just see this as kind of a cheat sheet. And I can see it now players exploiting the coding to explore areas in it so they have the knowledge online. I highly doubt this application would come into play.
