Just for looks, say you could pay staff 100k to create a bracelet, ring or necklace/ammy for you with an acceptable name. You then give them the description you want for the item. This would add something more exciting to the game than wedding rings or RoW's.

I really think the idea of adding something personal to the game is great. I'm just not feeling this. Lets say I decided to make a custom bracelet for each crit in my account with it's own personal discription.I would have added(at last count) 22 totally useless items to the game. If only half of the players did this we'd be at something like 6,000 new items in the game.
The only way I could possible go for this idea is if say you did buy it and put it on. Once the item is removed it is deleted from the game. If we didn`t do this can you even begin to imagine how many new items would be in the game say in the next 2 years....

One big reason this would not work is that each item made needs to be coded and can only be brought into the game by JLH or Pandi. With as busy as they are, I would find it quite unfair that they have to spend their online time making items for people. And also as Momba said, there would be an over-accumulation of items, leaving nothing for staffs to make and put into game such as in areas, etc.

100k is not really a hefty price. There is too much gold in the game currently anyway. Maybe JLH could code in a smithy that can 'make'/'craft' your item. Buy it, say the name you want and he makes it.. (Name should be approved first, maybe a filter on what names can be made would work.)

I think there would be ALOT more item creation requests in comparison to what there was for name changes foolio.

I do like the idea of being able to customise items some what but people should be able know that a hally is just a hally and not by pic alone!
