I agree that thieves should get a permaban. I would like to add that if someone gets a permaban we should get to scavenge through their stuff for ourselves. I mean... they won't be using it why let it go to waste.

Hmm.. it's actually a hard decision. I'd like to take their belongings if they got banned.. if anything good.. they stole from me.. I'd get em' back.. the same way.. but those people who stole did some how earn their stuff.. so, I guess it should be deleted.. or possibly can be sold.

Railbiter gets banned for stealing 56,293,329,939 gold supposedly selling a 'Really rare item' to someone.
Then that item goes for sale, the really rare item obviously wont be able to be bought by lower lvl people who just started. say its a quest, a large snake staff that deals 600 base damage, who's going to buy it? well obviously the person with the most gold and most friends in the game. so i dont see how auction would help anyone but the rich people

I take offence to that and I said an auction, obviously it'll start at a low point and possibly work its way up, it all depends on the item and they could possible have a set limit of items you can bid on and possible a lvl restriction? I know some of the bigger people have low lvl's but, I dunno -shrugs- the auction thing was just a random thought in my head that happened to pop outside.

However, the choice of staff (at least I'm pretty sure this is the current rule) to not regain the items/crit/gold stolen from a player, when the trade was not monitored is a respectable rule in my opinion. If you don't want things stolen do trades with staff monitoring them. If the player than steal something with staff monitoring then I think the player should get his stolen property returned, the rest of the "Thief"s property deleted, and that player would recieve a permaban. (Player, Account, IP all that good stuff.)
Sound fair enough...?
