Level 30..

I think something should be added to people when they reach this level.. Instead of just boost of hp and mana and the all so boring title of being called archmaster. Perhaps. A random stat somewhere? Weapon or armor given to them thats most commonly used that has a different name then what everyone else has.. Extra dmg. Extra defense. Maybe all these could be used along with more, And one of these is randomly picked when you level... Just maybe add something that makes leveling to 30 more worth it..

Ok idea.. But then after a while wouldn't it just end up the same as before again? Every lvl 30 getting bored of this random stats? It'll be good for a short while, but then it'll become the same as the hp/mana boost.. Just my opinion.

I still say either perminent death or lvl 30s can 'restart' their characters at lvl1 and choose an enhanced class (Thief would evolve to Assassin/Scout/Burglar, Paladin to Saint, Cleric to Priest, Mage to Wizard, etc. These enhanced classes would, of course, have slightly modified, or bonus, abilities.

I dont think I have heard of an idea along those lines Cyric. However I think that is a very good idea, the problem with that is most of the players who have leveled in a surplus of experience will probably not be in favour of this. I think this would be a good idea as players would not have the boredum of level 30 to deal with, that there is at present. It is an alternative means of death. I havent decided if it would be a good idea or not that it should be players decison, if their crit should be reset or not. If it was a players decision then I think the bonuses for those who decide to reset should be vast. When/If this idea is implemented I think that the new abilities, via the attribute point system should be bought as the players re-level up again. It seems that this is an idea for class development as individuals, and may aid the alt restriction idea. I might have more to post about this after I have given it some thought, but seems like a good idea to me. Thanks!!

I would not change from lvl 30 - lvl 1 as an advanced class if I were to lose my clan. I run one and I think that these upgraded classes should be able to join a clan at any lvl and count as a lvl 30 for those obessed with rankes.

I know it wouldn't remove you from your current clan - I dunno it it can be arranged to allow them to enter/leave clans before lvl 10...

im sure if advanced crits were somehow seperated from normal crits in the code....it wouldnt be that hard at all to make them be able to stay in the same clan they were in/join one at lvl 1.

I think this is an amazing idea! What if the clan issues were resolved by starting over at level 10 instead of level 1? I would find that much, much to be preferred. And just think....a 2nd, and 3rd, and 4th class of character. Oh, yes.....that would be fantastic.

thinking it through further.... I think I like the concept of going all the way back to level 1 better, AND losing your clan. for all those of us who can't stand the idea of being out of your clan, keep another alt live in your clan. No big deal. If you made it that far once, you can level up to 10 pretty darn quick, I'm sure. If you bought it instead and don't know how to train low level? It is now time to learn. No bonus, no exception. You want the benefit you will get later, so you pay this price now. I like it a lot.

Question #2 is how powerful would you be I mean if you were a lvl 30 pker and pked alot of newbs then restarted at lvl 1 (or 10) then all of a sudden you would have journeymen killing you with the biggest bloodlust pk fest ever.

Yeah probably. Probably. Yeah. But someone who has chosen this path has been successful at the game. They won't be level 10 very long. Unless you are a mage, it probably will only take a few hours. And if you have been level 30, you KNOW that choosing to be a mage will mean training forever, and buying tons of mana. If you choose to re-cast as a mage specialist, more power to ya! Sure it's a pk fest. I'm thinking, though, that the good players who roll new crits are pked FAR FAR LESS than the true noobs. We all know it by the way....being level 5 doesn't make you a noob. It makes you level 5. An archmaster asked me for help getting to a different city yesterday. Now there's a noob. People buy crits. noobiness has nothing to do with level, and therefore, a skilled player can play a level 1 re-cast very, very skillfully.

it's an ok idea but how far can it go? can you do it twice, 5 times or infinitely? if you can do it infinitely it becomes unfair to others and if you can't it becomes moot; just another achievement that everyone can/will have in a relatively short time. interesting but i'd like to see attribute points since that will achieve similar goals and "is almost done".

Good to know. I'm interested in the attribute points as well. I'm sure issues are being addressed such as choices we actually make, combined with the actions we take. This would certainly accomplish the very thing we're talking about, and would do it in the least disruptive way to the character. The interesting thing to me is that suddenly you have characters all across the board in terms of experience, now attempting to acquire attribute points. Is it only linked to level? May it never be! That would merely be an expansion of level. I like it because presumably you could learn a different attribute at some point. Do you think attribute points would fade from lack of use? I would hope so. I know I have to start fro scratch every time I get a wild hair about getting into shape again. I certainly go through the muscle strain all over again. This is a reasonable reward for using your desired attribute, as well as a reasonable penalty for discontinued use of it.
