Can't Get The AutoUpdate To Work

For the past hour. I've opened nightmist. Let it say that I needed an update.. Downloaded the update from one of the mirrors. It downloaded. I went back to open up nightmist.. and I had to re-download the update again  . I've did this for the past hour, and i've downloaded each mirrior atleast twice.
Can anyone help?

Either uninstall nightmist, or delete the nightmst.exe from the folder and replace it. I reinstalled and it works fine now.

this will happen if the shortcut to nightmist does not have the same "start in" path as the "target" path, and so it gets downloaded to the "start in" folder instead of the nightmist folder, so it just goes in circles, remaking the shortcut will sort this
